Recently had Buka Puasa here with my family and we given one of the 2 private dining rooms, which was perfect as we could chat and enjpy food lounder than usual. :)

Noting that the restaurant is normally busy we placed weekend dining resevantion to avoid being turned away. Reservation for dining had to be made using their own website and confirmation would be sent from that system as well. A bit more involved than simply calling in to their Restaurants, but at least dining bookings can be done right?

Upon arrival we were all showed to our Seats by the Host and we were explained on how the dinner menu selection is available on their QR Online. We were also pleasantly surprised that we were given 2 Sets Iftar treats of Kurma and Kuih Melayu. This is a nice gesture as many Malaysians prefer eating sweet kuih during Berbuka.

Our Meal was a nice wide selection - We took the premium set with a host of side/add on dishes, and our broth of choice was the Mala and the Tomato. Love the sweet sour tang of the Tomato soup. It contrasted well with the mind numbing kick of the Mala (Be warned! It is HOT & SPICY AF!).

Our order was made at approximately 7 pm and most of our dishes arrived before the Azan Maghrib came on. Throughout dinner, the Mala Mini team routinely checked on us for soup replenishments and additional sides.

All in all we had lovely time here for Berbuka. Special note to their team members - Samsol, Anna, Netti and Alam who all made our dinner experience so much better with their service, kind help, chats and jokes and most importantly making us feel welcome. Good service staff are not often praised, but these 4 particularly elevated our dining experience.

All in all our meal came up to about RM600 for the 8 diner, which works out to only 75 per person. While not necessarily cheap, I would definitely say it is good value for money what with the many meats - beef, lamb, chix, fish, prawns, squid, octopus and others that we had, all on top of the plates of mushrooms, veges and noodles.

We bid the place farewell with happy bellies and smiley faces! We would definitely...

We are writing to express our disappointment with the recent dining experience I had at your establishment in MidValley Mega Mall on 31 Mar 2023, for 2 pax. During our visit, we encountered two issues that we believe require your attention.

Firstly, we were disappointed to find that our ordered package were missing some of the advertised ingredients. This was not communicated upfront, and we only became aware of it when I received the bill and asked about the missing items. As customer, we expect to be informed of any changes or substitutions to my order before it is served. It is unacceptable to wait until the end of the meal to disclose this information.

Secondly, we were appalled to discover that the noodles in my dish were moldy. While we appreciate that the restaurant replaced the noodles upon our request, we were disappointed that the soup was not changed as well. The soup wasn't included in the package, it was charged RM28++ for 2 soups. As a result, the overall quality of the dish was compromised and left us a really unpleasant dining experience. Additionally, we were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience caused

We trust that as a reputable restaurant, you take customer satisfaction seriously and that you will take appropriate action to address these concerns. We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you will take the necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur...

Nestled in the bustling MidValley MegaMall, this small yet cozy hotpot spot caught our attention after a long day of shopping. We decided to give it a try for dinner, and while it was a decent experience, it had its highs and lows.

Food & Quality • The meat selection was fresh and tender, which was a definite plus. The mushrooms were also well-prepared and added a nice touch to the meal. • The Mala soup base had a good kick of spice and flavor, making it a solid choice. However, the chicken broth was quite underwhelming—bland and lacking depth, making it a disappointment. • As for the seafood selection, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The freshness was questionable, and it didn’t taste as vibrant as expected.

Condiments & Side Offerings

The condiment bar was a highlight, offering a great variety of sauces and toppings to customize the flavors. This helped enhance the overall meal experience.

Overall Experience

While it’s not the best hotpot place around, it serves as a decent option if you’re looking for a quick and casual hotpot fix in the middle of your shopping spree. The ambiance is cozy, the meats are good, but the broths and seafood could use some improvement. Would I return? Maybe, but only if I’m craving hotpot and need a convenient spot...

We were attracted by the mala aroma when we passed by, so we decided to try. Before ordering, the cashier told us that the dessert in the set menu had sold out and will not be replaced with anything. After reading through the menu, we still decided to try out the beef set. The set menu does not include soup, because it has an additional charge. Maybe we did not notice the restaurant name, we were surprised that the portion served was really "mini", hence we decided to add ala carte items, yet they were still mini. I ordered the refillable drink, and the refillable peach tea was too much sweetener, probably not that suitable for me. L The mala soup wasn't really spicy, where we have no issue in having it, while tomato soup was just moderate. When I wanted to add dipping sauce around 9:20pm, the sauce counter already cleaned and closed, was surprised that why the staff cleaned up while there were guests dining inside. End up the staff took out the ingredients from kitchen for me which I appreciated. Around 9:42pm, the staff already started to move chairs up to the empty tables, which let me to push eating ASAP since they closed at 10pm. Beside the food portions were mini, the price seems not worth the quantity. And yeah, 10% service tax will be applied.
