I went to the TTDI Ramadan Bazaar and since I only bought snacks and no proper meals from the bazaar, I decided to dine in at MCD TTDI, which was directly opposite the bazaar. I had ordered through the MCD app a few minutes before heading to the Mcd.
When I went in, there were no empty seats on the ground floor and I proceeded upstairs. I found an empty table and sat there while waiting for my order. An employee approached me and told me I can't eat here because I'd brought food from the bazaar. I told her I had ordered a meal from MCD and I was waiting for it. Before I could even finish my sentence, she rudely interjected and said I still can't dine in because I'd brought in food. I didn't want to make a fuss, because it's not that big of a deal as I ordered a burger and fries, not rice or anything, so it's easy for me to just bring the food out and leave. The female employee stared at me the whole time I gathered my things and left. It was uncomfortable. I went downstairs so I can pick up my order and leave.
Once downstairs, it was crowded but I realized that most tables had people who had bought food from the bazaar. Some of them were not even MCD customers and we're sitting at tables and eating bazaar food! I realized that I was the only Indian customer who had been asked to leave because "I brought Bazaar food" despite being a Mcd customer who bought MCD food. Only the Malay and Chinese people were not even eating MCD food and we're enjoying their bazaar food at the tables.
Maybe the employees didn't see these people because it was hidden from their view, which is nonsense because the employee literally took her time and climbed 1 set of stairs to tell me I can't dine in.
Although I'm not surprised, it's appalling to experience racist treatment and rude service from...
Read moreUPDATE AFTER 1 YEAR: Gave this outlet another chance this afternoon after my bad experience last year, and it actually got worse. • There toilet stank, there were faeces on the floor! • The 1st floor aircon still didn't work (Can't believe I'm writing the same complaint after 1 year) • There's green mould growing on the 1st floor glass panels / windows. Just look at the attached photos and judge for yourself.
This outlet is absolutely disgusting! They were shut down by the authorities several years ago for having maggots crawling around the establishment. Come to think of it, it's not a bad idea that people are boycotting them after all, the management doesn't seem to care.
The TTDI branch is just the worst branch I've visited. It's filthy and badly maintained. They obviously haven't learnt from the recent shut down by the authorities for having maggots crawiling around the establishment.
Today's visit was no better, 1st floor aircon was not working so it was stuffy and warm, leaving patrons with very few tables downstairs. And the only big table had a leaky aircon above, dripping water onto the table and floor, so they had a blue plastic bucket on the floor.
I've had missing burger patty several times, or missing items from my order, so I should count myself lucky that at least I got some browning lettuce in my GCB.
Mcd's Malaysia never respond to comments on their social media sites. I believe they know how bad they are and are just taking the ostrich approach, which is why they're...
Read moreI live in the neighbourhood and usually go to McDs in bandar utama or mutiara damansara. Unfortunately the few times I have been to the tmn tun outlet I have been disappointed. The service level is quite low compared to other outlets, the overall environment just feels badly maintained. Whenever I think about giving a chance to this outlet, I go and get bad service. The latest is when I ordered a coffee drink plus a burger. I got my burger from the service staff, no smile or anything, kinda like he doesn’t want to be there. I asked about my coffee and he told me to go to the mccafe counter to collect. I went there but no one was there. So I went back and asked the earlier staff. Now his response is, no staff to make the coffee and since it’s after midnight I am supposed to check first if coffee is available. Now how am I supposed to know that when the ordering system is via the touch screen??? If you make it available on the self ordering system but it’s not available then how can it be my fault for not asking first? In the end, another staff eventually made my coffee drink and I got my order 20 minutes after ordering. In summary, poor customer service, inefficient and poorly maintained outlet. I will never go to this outlet again if it doesn’t improve. I would rather go to bandar utama or mutiara damansara...
