Do not bother dining in here if you have any dietary restriction or preference on how your meal is served. I asked for two things out of the 6 meals I ordered: No Vege for Kuey Teow Goreng (personal preference) Sambal Asing for Nasi Lemak (dietary restriction)

Yet we are served the exact opposite of what we asked for. The Nasi Lemak came first so naturally I politely asked the kitchen to seperate the sambal from the plate(as “No Sambal” is not an option), only to be met with a nasty look from the kitchen supervisor(mind you we were seated at Table No. 2, DIRECTLY facing the kitchen). I wouldn’t mind the attitude if the order came back neat and nice. Yet, the only solution they could think of is to wipe off the pre-existing sambal lazily with stains of the sambal still present on the plate and under it. I am not expecting them to redo the whole meal, just replace it onto a clean plate with separate sambal? Is that too much to ask? Not to mention the vege kuey teow that came in shortly after, I did not bother to call the kitchen because of the atittude the kitchen gave from the first return.

TL;DR: ONE annoying kitchen worker with an attitude and failure to adhere to the order details.

Despite this, the combination of efficient service, a friendly atmosphere, and a broad selection of dishes makes Q Bistro UM a noteworthy choice for those looking to enjoy a meal out. The slightly higher price point is something potential patrons should keep in mind, balanced by the restaurant's many positives. Place is on within the University Malaya compound. Standalone building with open air and air-conditioned seatings. Very spacious, nicely decorated and clean.

Place is cozy comfortable and quiet on weekends. Good variety of food offered. Food presentation and taste quality average but portion commensurate with pricing. Customer service is attentive and personal. Waiting time is acceptable.

Atmosphere is okay, nice and cozy. Internal decorations create a calm cozy ambience with seating arrangements and lots of space. Well lighted and good seating arrangements.

Overall, okay good approach but food nothing impressive. It’s just an ordinary mamak cafe with premium touch. Concept not bad at all. Serve variety acceptable quality dishes for families or friends. Good place for everyone, friends hangout, family meets...
