Absolutely Disappointed with Reto I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Reto and feel compelled to share it. I'm a big fan of shawarma, and was really craving a good one, but what I got was a far cry from satisfying. First and foremost, the portion of meat was ridiculously small. It felt like I was eating mostly bread with a scant few shavings of meat hiding inside. For the price they charge, it was an absolute rip-off. I honestly felt cheated. Secondly, a shawarma just isn't the same without pickles! They add that crucial bit of tang and acidity that balances the richness of the meat. To my dismay, my shawarma came with absolutely no pickles. It was incredibly bland and just not enjoyable. Finally, the service was incredibly slow. I was told my order would be ready in 10 minutes, which seemed reasonable. However, I ended up waiting a full 30 minutes! That's three times the estimated time. No explanation was offered for the delay, and the staff didn't seem particularly apologetic. Waiting that long for such a subpar shawarma was incredibly frustrating. Overall, my experience at Reto was extremely disappointing. Between the minuscule amount of meat, the lack of pickles, and the shockingly slow service, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and your time, and go somewhere else for your shawarma fix. I certainly won't...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our visit to this Arabian food café! Their beef shawarma rice is a must-try—generously portioned at just RM22, perfect for sharing between two people. Pair it with their spicy tomato sauce and garlic mayonnaise, and you've got an unbeatable flavor combo!
We also tried the Soup Lentil (RM10), which came with two big wedges of fresh lemon and some unique crispy fried biscuits—a delightful addition to the meal.
For drinks, the Pomegranate-flavored Barbican (RM7) was refreshing with its light, sweet fragrance, almost like a sparkling department store champagne.
There's also an option to dine in with air-conditioning upstairs, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed the cozy environment here, especially compared to the super hot weather outside.
The café also gets high marks for cleanliness, including their toilet, which was clean and not smelly. The only minor issue is that it felt a bit hot inside the toilet due to the lack of air circulation.
What made the experience even better was the service. The staff here are incredibly polite, always smiling, and genuinely happy to serve you.
No extra tax or service charge applies, which makes the whole experience even more worthwhile. Amazing food, exceptional service, and unbeatable value for money. We left super full and beyond satisfied. Definitely...

This place is a trip! Reto Cafe, nestled in a bustling, crowded area with the soundtrack of... well, something was... playing in the background on the street (think "Janan Janan, Sanam Sanam" stuck on repeat in your brain for days), is worth visiting. Location? Great. Atmosphere? Lively, to say the least.
The staff are friendly, and the prices won't break the bank. But let's get to the real reason you're here: the Mandi Lamb. We're talking Arabian rice, spices that make you go "hmmm," and tender lamb, complete with bone and delicious, glorious fat. It tastes good.
And a special shout-out to the Pakistani waiter/ salesman! After I finished the one that came with the set, he offered me an extra-large bowl of their fabulous soup. It was amazing. Thanks!
Just be prepared to hum Malaysian pop songs for the rest of the day. You've...
