SHARING Cafe @ Taman Desa — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

On the 7/9/25 Sunday, my wife and I ordered Aglio Olio Pasta with Grilled Chicken, Fish and Chips, and Sarawak Milk Tea.

Upon reaching home, I started vomiting and having diarrhea for more than 10 episodes. I had to close my business for one day because I was too weak to work. As a result, I had to be put on IV drips and swallow 6 types of medicines. Also, I lost one day of business sales.

I tried to reach out to them via WhatsApp to inform them about the incident with the intention they would take note of their kitchen cleanliness, however there was no reply even after 2 days.

Note: I’m not seeking for any compensation, I just wanted the PIC to acknowledge the incident to prevent the next customer from getting food poisoning.

I’m deeply disappointed with the response (or the lack thereof) of the manager. I guess we won’t be coming...

The pricing is very reasonable. The food is only OK lah. Hence, good value for money but nothing special. Ok lah - burger, garlic bread, nachos, salmon, aglio olio chicken, fish & chips, crispy chicken. Maybe not - chicken pizza, arrabiata prawn. The drinks we had were good - three layer tea with gula apong and Oreo peanut butter smoothie.

Gula Apong and Gula Melaka are both types of palm sugar, but they are made from the sap of different palm trees and have distinct flavor profiles. We had the Hainanese Chicken Chop, Nasi Lemak and Creamy Pesto with Chicken Popcorn. Personally speaking, the spaghetti tasted absolutely 🤤. Most importantly, the quantity/price ratio is VERY attractive in which I'm sure is one of the most important deciding factors for most Malaysians.

Inside, the restaurant was well lit, the songs they had on repeat didn't affect our conversations too much so it was a chill place to relax and eat. The only small complaint I have are the seats, which although were comfortable, sank in the middle.

Finding parking is a bit of a problem though.
