OK, OK.. ..uncle Dusty Eats is very excited about this place in Taman Desa! It's a single intermediate shop lot next to Guardian. Yes, got sit-down makan2 and takeaway too. It use to have a do-it-yourself noodle bar but that has since closed after the first MCO. Locals say its got a limited menu around 30 items but i think its got all the Thai all-time favorite items. Cukup maaa.....how much you want to eat?! Now uncle Dusty is not BS ing you when I say I am hard pressed to fault any of the dishes I have tried!! Really one!! Green Curry and Phanaeng Curry both served with Rice is priced at RM 14.90 (OK maaaaa) is really tasty, well balanced and very consistent. Pineapple Fried Rice with Seafood, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Stir Fried Holy (Amen to that) Basil Minced Chicken with Rice (you can adjust the spiciness or else......kaa booooom!!). Thai Shrimp Paste Fried Rice (my favorite) is to the moon!! The Tomyum Mama Noodles With Jumbo River Prawn (RM35) is apparently very nice. Uncle Dusty not too big on tomyum, nanti all day all night in the jamban!! They've got some small bites too; Homemade Mini Spring Rolls (4pcs) RM 7.90, Homemade Thai Mackerel Fish Cakes (4pcs), Chicken Boxing (own special marinate )(4pcs) RM 12.90, Homemade Pandan Chicken (4pcs) RM13.90 to borrow a punch line: finget licking good! Thai Style Chicken Soup Noodle (my favorite on rainy nights!)RM 13.90, Tomyum Mama Noodles With Homemade Chicken Balls RM 15.90 oso tasty!! But be prepared for a kick in the pants! Adjust to taste please. And the milk tea is just like the one you get on the streets in Hatyai (shhh....don't tell auntie huh)! So I corek2 a bit and found out the boss all locals but the kitchen staff all Thai! No wonder lah...authentic! Go and try or regret forever. Fill you belly and be...

Located near Taman Danau Desa (off Taman Desa) this is an authentic Thai Restaurant which serves pretty good Thai dishes. I especially liked the Tomyum Mama Noodles With Jumbo River Prawn (which is mama instant noodles). The prawn is huge and looks like those with origins from Tanjung Tualang. It's also cooked just to perfection (less cooked) and even the eggs are cooked very raw (very authentic Thai style) and just the right amount of Tom Yum taste. It's really good... Should try this. 5 🌟
We also tried the Basil Pork Fried Rice which was really good also 4 🌟. Just the right amount of spices and also the pork is very soft and tender.
However that can't be said for the fish Cakes (see pictures) ...which taste ok only. The chicken wings was also ok only and it is very dry.
Will try the rest of the menu next time I'm here. They also have Thai Iced Tea and Coffee which I would love to try.. Next time. If you like this review, please give me a like. Thank you.

Great curries!! Rich, thick, coconutty and full of flavour/umami! Just how all good curries should be!! Too rich? Add a dash of white chili vinegar or a squeeze of lime to cut the richness and add freshness.
One of the best Thai Fish Cakes I've had. Texture is wonderful thanks to the use of horse mackerel, made by hand in-house, I was told.
Tomyum needs to be a tad little more spicy but other than that, it tastes good and fresh!! Basil Chicken Rice needs to have slightly more salt, oil and wok hei but it's good with their spicy condiment sauce.
Though menu is limited, the food here is on par with many of the good Thai food restaurants, and stands out in this area. If this place can keep it up to maintain freshness, quality, portion of food with their impeccable service, this place will be a winner.
Keep the good...
