Quite a popular eatery judging from the crowd.
It was our first visit and we tried out four dishes and a slice of cake for dessert.
This eatery seemed to have a very different take on food as far as the use of salt was concern. The use of salt was so sparing that it came as a jolt to my palate. The message being sent here seemed to be "Salt is bad", which of course wouldn't be true at all or partially true at best as sodium is one of the most dominant minerals in our body. Fried dishes that we ordered were rather bland with not much of umami.
Anyway, the item that we found to be flavourful enough was the Curry Noodles. Lei Cha was good enough too. Generally, the taste of food served here would need some getting used to as some dishes could practically be cooked without salt.
The cake was quite average, nothing really to write home about.
The use of oil was also minimal which did made the fried dishes a little dry, not actually an issue. Texture of food was about right. Firm and slightly chewy which we liked. Drinks and beverages were above average.
Food portion was about average where a big eater would find it wanting. Like most eateries, there was not much of nutritional value in the items that were ordered except maybe for Lei Cha. This need to be taken into account considering the high prices charged.
Service was good. Space was a little tight but with enough walking space between tables. Need to talk a little louder to be heard with everyone attempting to be doing the same.
Getting a parking space was quite a challenge on a weekday evening.
Seemed overrated and overpriced. Well, one man's meat would be another man's poison. In conclusion, overall, probably worthy of a visit. Not sure if we would be back. We shall need to be in the vicinity for...
Read moreSecond time I ate here because my first experience is really perfect, service so well, the small guy/ foreigner staff is so friendly (i guessed myanma), always smile and foods is nice too. Today I really disappointed about the talk guy who is good looking, white skin, style but his face looks always angry with me, until I paid the bill. I thought the problem that I didn’t know to pay in counter bz I stayed so far and didn’t wear glasses. I called him to make the bill, he throws bill on the table and went away. After that, I went to counter and pay the bill, his face so so bad…. If he wants customers to make the bill on the counter, can say with them. Don’t throw his bad face on customer in order to let’s them know you are unsatisfied. If I really do something wrongly, I can understand, I just come enjoy my meal.
Laksa is so sour also. I never wrote bad feedback to any shop before today is first time I wasted my time to write. I hope he can see the fb and change his self, working in FNB, that’s service job. If don’t like that job, pls chose others. Customer pay money to enjoy meals,...
