What a way to ruin my morning! Im not one to make much of a ruckus because I understand that sometimes certain places are understaffed and it can be very hard to manage and quite frankly I can relate. But the workers working today in the morning (Saturday, 26/4/25) really should be re-evaluated. I walked into the shop, and right off the bat I was completely ignored for a good 3-5 mins, should’ve taken this as my sign to leave but I told myself they seem busy let’s just wait a while. Finally I was acknowledged and my order was taken at 10.05 am. I went to sit and wait for my order. Almost 20-25 mins later and I still had not gotten my drinks. I asked what is going on, how long more do I have to wait to get my drinks? Only to find out there’s no ice and they are not able to make my drinks yet! Very very disappointing when I have waited for about 30 mins with no information about there being no ice and god knows how long more were they going to make me. I questioned why wasn’t I told beforehand that there was no ice? To which they didn’t have an answer to give me. Atleast I could’ve had an option to wait or leave if I didn’t have the time to wait which would’ve been fair. I demanded a refund because I couldn’t wait any longer and the workers sarcastically said among each other “oh dia nak refund sebab nak gi kerja” insinuating that I was the only one that had to work. I had to rush to work after, and all of this for nothing. !! Please Zus DO BETTER!!!!! If you are not able to accommodate to the in - store customers especially on the weekend choose between your grab orders or serving the customers in store! Read moreIf talking about the coffee alone, I got the Spanish Latte and it was very enjoyable 5/5. It has a nice coffee flavour, creamy and slightly sweetened( Though, personally, I'd like it less sweet still as sweet coffee is only nice for the first half cup before it gets a bit sickening for me, but this is just a personal issue which is not taken into final rating).
However, since i got the coffee in their cup and also a pastry, that has to be discussed as well. The cup lid wasn't the cleanest (see specks in pics). I'm very sure it is most likely to just be coffee grounds but I'd rather that i didn't have to doubt and check when i get a drink. Also, what if it wasn't coffee grounds and was dirt or animal waste? That can get dangerous.
Next, the pastry with chicken sausage and cheese. The pastry wasn't baked long enough and therefore had slightly undercooked middles (see odd colours in the middle that's different from the rest of the pastry). Read moreI ordered a Caffè Latte – Extra Hot from ZUS Coffee, but the drink I received was only half full and not even hot. No “extra hot” at all—more like lukewarm. This isn’t my first time ordering from this outlet. Previously, I ordered a Matcha Latte, but they gave me a Spanish Latte instead. I was disappointed, but I didn’t say anything. One mistake can be forgiven, but when it’s repeated, that speaks volumes. People also have their own temper—please appreciate that your customers are spending their hard-earned money.
ZUS Coffee markets itself as delivering “specialty coffee straight to your cups” and making premium coffee accessible to everyone. But these consistent mistakes feel rushed and careless. I expect at least complete and correctly heated drinks when I order.
