What an utter disappointment!!! I don't normally write reviews but I certainly would here so that people would not be misguided and misled, as what had happened to me. First of all, the service is bad (can't believe I had to pay 10% for such service). Nevermind the tea refills and requests for anything(!) being slow as there was only one girl serving everyone, but the food was slow too despite there being four ppl in the kitchen. Seriously, when we first arrived there was only us and one other table, the other table didn't seem like they were eating anything substantial. So I was baffled when I had to wait half an hour for, raw oyster, raw salmon belly, one pathetic salad and one pokebowl. All of which really required minimal cooking. Secondly, the quality of food is definitely NOT up to par, certainly not for the prices we're paying. I paid RM179 for those four items. I won't mind if it's great but the oysters were small, salmon belly wasn't fresh enough and omg! Your Alaskan king crab salad is really just some processed Surimi!!! The worst is the waitress/chef (I don't know who's to blame here) didn't put any dressing in the salad. It's when we requested for some dressing that they said they've forgotten the dressing!!! Whaaat?! And then there's the pokebowl...I don't know what's the SOP for pokebowl but certainly being served a cold hard bowl of rice is not that appealing to anyone. I can take the cold but hard? And they don't even use Japanese rice, they use normal long grain rice. Like could you please put some quality in your food? Let me not start on the quantity of fish in your bowl. I definitely would not be returning to this restaurant at all and I won't recommend...

If you're around Taman Desa during lunch hour and craving something comforting yet satisfying, this hidden Japanese eatery might just hit the spot.

Tried their Teriyaki Chicken Don Set, which came with a generous portion of perfectly glazed chicken chunks atop a bed of rice, sprinkled with sesame seeds and spring onions for that extra flavor. The set included a side of miso soup, and a fresh cabbage corn salad with a creamy dressing that balanced the savory main dish.

I also ordered a side of crispy chicken katsu strips. Freshly fried, crunchy on the outside and juicy inside—this is a must-try for fried chicken lovers.

The portion sizes are satisfying, the flavors are well-balanced, and everything is served neatly on a tray that makes the meal feel like a complete Japanese lunch set experience. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed—perfect for a midday break.

Best of all, I used the Grab app’s Dine-Out Voucher, which gave me 30% off the total bill—making this delicious meal even...

One of the worst restaurants you can go to in Malaysia. Food is very normal Japanese fusion. However the price to portion is ABSURD. They give you just enough to feed a little kid.

This experience was particularly bad due to their quality of service. The rice bowl was served with Egg shells inside the rice bowl. After notifying the waiter, it took them 20 minutes to decide what to do with this situation. In the end they replaced the rice bowl, however NOT A SINGLE WORD OF APOLOGY. The manager or the PIC didn't even bother coming to the table to acknowledge the situation.

I have not tried at the other branches, and maybe they could have higher quality of service, but definitely not this one....

I like the restaurant, trendy, airy and comfy. The service is very good, too bad the foods are very average. We order the 3 types of oysters which are fresh and juicy, taste ocean too. The fried version also not bad. The famous spicy tuna poke bowl is tasty. The famous Salmon and Hampchi sashimi is very average and Wasabi is very weak. All foods serve in takeaway containers. The spicy masago paste is a big No No, taste like chocolate. The worse is the grill giant squid, it give itchiness to our mouths, we thought is the sauce but chef confirm sauce is only soy sauce. So what cause the itchiness? Their seafood dipping sauce is lousy. Will I be back? Maybe for oysters.

This place was totally deserted when we visited at about 8pm for dinner. At first we were quite skeptical to enter but the menu was quite interesting and my daughter wanted to try. Menu is kind Japanese fusion and we ordered a salmon poke bowl & orange flavored fried chicken. Both were quite nice actually and portion considered big. The fried chicken in orange sauce was tangy & sticky, goes well with rice. As for the poke bowl, my daughter rated it a 3.5/5 so that’s commendable. Menu I find quite simple but good enough for a quick n easy meal. They do mostly take aways so it’s quiet to eat in, just nice for a chill evening.

This is the "large" salmon box I ordered. Photos show grabfood image vs what arrived. This isn't just disappointing, it's blatant cheating considering it cost 39.50. The salmon doesn't even cover half a small tray. Grilled saba was an equally pathetic portion. Needless to say this is the last time I'll ever order from Eatomo taman desa and I encourage others reading reviews to also think twice. Yes, restaurants are having a hard time now but this is NOT how you cut costs and preserve margins. Please reflect on the quality of your food & your customers instead of resorting to these dishonest, underhand tactics.
