Me and friends decide to have late lunch+dinner at Sushi Zanmai at around 6PM. There was a que and seats were not available yet however the manager(i think) came out and asked us if we could wait 10 mins and the food will be served late abit in 30 mins time , we agreed as long we can get drinks served 😂. Alright, assessment time : Service: service from the staff is quick to refill ,we had 3-4 juggs refilled 😜.
Food: Kaarage chicken pieces not meaty ,both original and spicy(not even spicy :(
-Sushis ordered were alright, inami sushi should be more sweeter. I dare say inami sushi at Aeon supermarket even better.
-Salmon skin is too fleshy and oily, it should be crispy. Ordered x2 of this🥺
-Don sets were alright but ebi tempura could be improved.
As we are paying, the manager asked " how was the food?" 🙀 first time ever someone from Sushi Zanmai asked us about the food. I highlighted the salmon skin but forgotten about the rest. This review is for you Mr. Manager, i believe you can convey these concerns to your kitchen 😊

Firstly, the food is anything but fresh. It's clear that the ingredients are not of high quality and have been sitting around for a while. This results in a lack of flavor and overall unappetising dishes.
Furthermore, the service is extremely poor. The staff seems to have no sense of urgency and takes an eternity to attend to customers. The food also never seems to come out on time and in the right order, leading to confusion and frustration. It's disappointing that the restaurant can't seem to get their act together in this regard.
To make matters worse, I get the same poor service every time I come here. This is not an isolated incident, but rather a recurring problem.
Overall, I would not recommend Sushi Zanmai to anyone looking for a quality dining experience. The lack of fresh ingredients, poor service, and disorganised kitchen make for a disappointing meal. Save your money and go elsewhere for...

I never liked Udon but somehow, the Udon here was delicious. Their sashimi was fresh and soft shelled crab sushi was fantastic. I have to give praise to the Manager (I think), a chinese guy, wearing black shirt with glasses. He was so understanding and compassionate about his job and his customers even when the restaurant was full.
