I always come for one purpose, the Swedish meatballs! Packed to the max, especially during holidays and weekends. I normally walk away with this kinda crazy situations. (easily accommodates 2-300 pax) Today was different, almost empty and zero q, Good, I may enjoy my meatballs without hassle!
We had :- a) 2 bottles of drinking water @ RM1/btl b) 3 servings of coffee/tea @ RM 2/cup - refillable. Free@(0900-0930) c) 2 x chicken merguez @ RM4.5/pc - very aromatic d) 1 x Choco muffin @ RM1.50/pc e) 2 x sofbun @ RM1/pc f) 2 x garlic bread @2 RM1.45/pc - very hard g) 2 x minidish butter @ RM0.50/pc h) 2 x mushroom soup @ RM4.20/bowl - so so. a tad diluted. i) Chicken chop @ RM12.90 - tough meat. Not moist. Served with black pepper sauce, fries and broccoli j) 16pcs of meatballs @ RM16.50 - Different! Not beefy at all! k) Salmon fillet @ RM22.90 - Salmon looks stale and unappetizing. I would have avoided it at all costs! c/w mashed potato, cabbage & fennel ragu.
This visit was very different. Nothing stands out, NOT even my favourite Swedish meatballs! Don't think I'm coming back anytime soon!
Also, I noticed all soft drinks dispenser are unavailable. Could it be the mgmt is taking it off the shelf due to abuse by customers? (witnessed some "specific group" of customers refilling the soft drinks from the dispensers with their mineral water bottle for takeaway! Seriously??! Some even allowing their little ones refilling cups after another for fun only to let them on the table to waste! Really shameful and embarrassing mentality...

IKEA Restaurant has a long que despite its weekdays or weekend. To me IKEA is just and okay place to lunch, but not for the taste, but just for the feelings after you shopping or take stroll around ikea and mytown.
Served IKEA Cheras is a self serving restaurant where you choose your food at counter and clean the table back and put the tray where it belongs, famous with their meatballs served with mashed potatoes, but they also have various of other menu such as chicken wing, steak, vegeballs, mushroom soup, vege salad, lamb shank, curry puff, cakes and even kuey teow and rice.
Price Pricing here are relative, some are fairly price with the quality, and some are just expensive for a taste.
