Tamu Sky Lounge @lv40 — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

We booked our table 1 week earlier and requested for a window side table, but the staff was always leaving us on read and didnt confirm about this request until the day itself (we didnt get the window seat). Please at least reply us and dont just simply ghost up when we ask for something.

The food was so mid. We can get better food at cafes at pasar seni than here. The burger was dry and tasteless, the pasta took so long to cook. It took 1-2 hours for all of our food to come. Our first dish came in at around 9.00-9.20pm and our second and third dish came at 10.00pm. We also need to remind them about our starters because they clearly forgot about it and it came at around 10:30pm.

About the service : VERY BAD. We feel like we were ignored most of the time. They just gave us 1 menu for 3 people. When we asked for a simple “What is the starch of the day for this menu?” the waiter clearly didn’t understand what we asked and just explained to us about the main protein instead (grill chicken menu), we did ask and explained again what we were asking but the waiter simply did not understand and said that no carbs is included in the meal even though the menu said “a starch of the day” is included.

We also asked to get a picture of us taken at our table but 2 staffs declined our request because they said they wanted to serve a vvip first. After about 15-20 mins a staff then came to us to help take a picture (it only took 1-2 mins). We saw that all of the staffs were preoccupied with other tables and we were ignored. We also asked to refill our water, 2 staffs were called and after 15 mins we finally got our refill? Maybe if one of us choked we could have been dead first before getting the water 😄

We don’t mind paying for expensive food but this is so not worth it. Been to better restaurant than this with better food and better service.

Please train your staff properly and give training to handle all customers. If you have vvips, you should have designated waiters for them so that the other customers are not ignored. We paid the same price and service...

What a waste of money and time. My boyfriend paid RM850 for this so-called “fine dining experience” at Tamu Sky Lounge and honestly, I don’t even know how they have the guts to charge people this amount for such pathetic service and food

Let me list down clearly WHY this place is a total scam: 1.Lift rosak. We were asked to climb the stairs for 2 floors. Fine. Small matter. But for a place that dares to charge RM850? At least make sure your basic facilities work la.

2.The music? I don’t know if we were at a lounge or a cheap pasar malam concert. Speaker terpekik pekik blasting high-pitched, annoying pop songs at max volume sampai tak boleh berbual langsung. from romantic dinner terus jadi migrain

3.Waiting time for food? Ridiculous. 40 minutes at least for 2 plates of food. And the best part? The food arrived cold. Both of us ordered beef steak. What did we get? A huge chunk of fat, barely any proper meat, absolutely tasteless. No seasoning, no effort, no shame apparently. Presentation? Like someone just dumped it on the plate. Taste wise? Non-existent. Quality? Not even mamak level

4.Oh and the plates? Sopak sana sini. Excuse me? For RM850, you can’t even serve your customers on a proper plate? What exactly am I paying for? Certainly not for the ugly chipped dinnerware

5.RM850 doesn’t even include table decorations. No balloons, no candles, nothing. That’s a whole other price apparently. So tell me, for 2 sad plates of steak and 2 glasses of plain Sprite, what in the world was that RM850 for? Are we paying for air or what?

Honestly this place is a joke. Overpriced, underwhelming, and zero standards for something they try to market as premium. You’re just charging people for the view because clearly, your food, service, and experience are trash.

Never again. Not recommended to anyone unless you enjoy burning your money for absolutely...

During my visit, I encountered several issues that need to be addressed:

Overcharging on the Bill: The total amount on the bill appeared to be higher than expected. Upon review, I noticed that I’ve been charged double for drinks.

Poor Food and Beverage Services: The quality of food and service provided was subpar. Nothing special at all. Not worth the price.

Unprofessional Behavior:

We booked for 3 pax but when we arrived, the staff had only reserved a table for 2. We had to wait around 15 minutes for them to set up another table and they didn’t even apologize to us.

When we went to pay the bill, the cashier was busy on the phone. Where is their sense of etiquette? This was truly bad service!
