Okay but overrated.
Rice is dry and hard, and not as fragrant as how the influencers/ food reviewers promoted (might not believe them anymore). But the portion is good for the money. If you value taste then you can mingle around to find what fits your taste buds.
Sambal is the slightly soury taste kind of sambal. You can taste the chilli blend. Not fulfilling in terms of all rounded taste. just more to sour and spicy. However, spicy level is not that much as how Youtuber would describe it. If you are a samyang lover, then this is a baby level.
Chicken is quite dry, small in size, quite salty as well. Maybe food quality on that day is not on par their best days.
Their fried paru would be the thick slices and cuts. If you prefer that kind of go to then it would be it. The taste is good compared to other things.
Rendang would be slightly different than our Hari Raya Rendang, (Just to mention) Not a problem fr fr. Also, very oily and tawar sikit.
We wanted to dine in, but it will take ages just to get a place although we came early. The shop is located beside the roadside, so gerai gerai kind of feeling, which is fine but you can expect how the tabling would be. Some people actually queued beside each respective tables while you are eating. You also might sit beside strangers as well as it is like sharing concept type of feels.
Overall experience is okay, but we might not repeat. This is my honest sharing, leave a like if you agree but if you feel heart burned then that is your own perspective and make your own review instead. In addition to that, we humans have different type of expectations when it comes to food and delicacies, so you do you, me do me. Lmao
My bad for trusting food reviewers from youtube that much. Otherwise i would ended up eating somewhere else instead of driving to the congested place, with parkings, and have to queue some more (a...
Read moreNasi lemak kukus kangkung. Maybe it's a new experience for some to eat nasi lemak with kangkung, I grow up eating nasi lemak with kangkung. Came to the place because of the hype in YouTube.
Came around 8.30am and the queue is already long. Waited around 20 mins before get to order. I ordered nasi lemak ayam rempah and daging rendang.
First taste of the nasi lemak, a bit dry and hard to my liking. Sambal a bit sour than normal nasi lemak. Ayam rempah portion is 1/8 of a whole chicken. Daging was a bit hard.
Nasi lemak ayam rempah - RM8 Nasi lemak daging rendang - RM8 Drinks (teh o or kopi o) - RM2 per cup
I would say there are other better nasi lemak elsewhere. But if u want nasi lemak kangkung, there wasn't a lot of choice. If you want to follow the hype and willing to que, this is the place. For myself, I won't be...
Read moreA place for nasi lemak kukus lovers. It's delicious, wide variety 'lauks'. Will I come again? Yes!
Parking is a challenge. There are a few parking lot that charges RM5 for the first 3 hours, but it's quite a walk (between 150m to 250m) to this shop. Best just take taxis or Grab...
If you're like me, that have medium tolerance for spicy food, if you take sambal sotong, avoid adding the nasi lemak sambal. The kuah sotong should be sufficient. However, if you're like my wife, that 'berulam cili padi', then the sambal is childs play.
The rice is steaming hot, the portion is XL, and for those that can't use hands to eat, bring your own utensils because they only have the single use plastic utensils. I spent an average of RM7 for a plate of nasi lemak, including drinks here. Oh, bring a handkerchief! You'll...
