You can pre-inform us if you don't allow for long stay in your cafe on the Christmas day instead of keep chasing us to leave your cafe as soon as possible.
Me and my friend went for lunch on Christmas day (2 of us).
First time you asked us how long more we would stay in your cafe. I answered 1 more hour. You said okay and you implied that your cafe is crowded on festival day.
Just after half an hour, you came and asked us to sit at behind (besides washroom) because the front area is for customers who are eating (we had finished our food and drink and we were having discussion). Okay fine, we just moved to behind then.
I think around 45 minutes later, you asked us again of when would we leave? That time we were almost done and I answered you that we would be leaving soon. However, to be frank, the feeling was really not good because we were kept chasing by you. Do you really welcoming guests to your cafe? Who are the customers? Have you ever think about your customers' feeling when you keep chasing us to leave?
We had stayed at your cafe for 3 hours. I have been to many cafes for great food and at the same time having discussion with friends or colleagues. Some cafes are really popular and they will pre-inform customers for the limited dining time per customer. I am totally fine and understand if I was informed in advance that I could not stay long in the cafe. So, please do inform customers in advance if you don't welcome for long stay at your cafe during festival season. This is way much better and more polite than you keep chasing your...
Read moreThis review is based entirely on my visit to Jemi Cafe on 21st August 2020. I've had a few pleasant experience dining in Jemi cafe before MCO so I decided to revisit. First thing I usually look at while dining out during this RMCO is - what steps do the business take to create a clean & sanitary environment for diners to dine in peace despite having to take a certain amount of risk to dine out.
This is what I experienced: Upon entrance, there was MySejahtera QR to scan, which was good. However, no temperature taking took place. The staff, who I assume was the lady boss (petite, with short hair), came over to take our order while wearing her mask placed under her nose. We told her our order, but I guess she didn't hear it clearly so she PULLED DOWN HER MASK, and said "ha?" (?????????????) After our meal, we decided to order a cake as dessert. Two things happened- she forgot the order and needed a reminder. I was okay with that. Mistakes happen. THEN, she brought the cake to our table, WHILE talking on the phone facing our cake, WITH HER MASK OFF (pulled all the way down to her chin).
Side note: Food was good. We ordered their Karaage Waffle and Tomyum Pasta. What a shame. If you are willing to risk your life to get some slightly above average food, it's...

I have been living in tmn desa for close to 15 yrs and I have not heard of this cafe even though it has been opened for 6 yrs and it is right under my nose!
We tried Thai style pasta (with big prawns and crunchy squid tentacles), grilled chicken chop, fried chicken chop, hash brown sandwich, sides like fried chicken wings and fried squid tentacles and the Berry waffle.
All the food was delicious - standouts were the pasta, fried chicken chop and Berry waffle! You can't go wrong with the food here.
Service was a bit patchy (they looked understaffed) but you could see they were doing their best and with a smile too.
Looking forward to try the rest...
