The Castle Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

The staff here are dismissive and inattentive. The restaurant had four servers yet still took over an hour to receive a mixed grill. Others who arrived after us got served before us. The food arrived and was lukewarm at best and pretty bland. The garlic sauce was weak and the chips that came with it were bog standard oven chips. They should be embarrassed that I could cook a better mixed grill in a fraction of the time. The interior is tired with a quiet awkward atmosphere, a true waste of it's potential. To top it off they had the cheek to charge a service charge when we had to physically go find them to bring a chili sauce over. Their excuse was that they were busy and rushed off their feet, but there were 4 other tables dining at the same time as us. Given the diverse and plentiful options around KL, I'd tell anyone who cares about the food they eat or the time they spend to go anywhere...

So why this one is the question that I am hoping to answer through this little review below. Let's start with the food, first off you get the most authentic fresh and delicious breads served with your food, you could eat a full large bread without feeling full such is the quality of the bread. The mix grill that I ordered was cooked to perfection and fresh as it can get with great quality of meat (no sinew in the beef I ordered). Second point that I would like to point to is the ambience while you can hardly see this restaurant due to the big multi storeyed buildings surrounding this, it's a big restaurant with lots of outdoor space as well for the sheesha lovers. Lastly good attentive service tops it up. Only down side is that parking is limited so be early to get one for your precious ride......else you will need to park on the...

This was not the first Arabian/Iranian food we tried so we had something else to compare to. . It was quiet at lunch time on a week day. We were the only ones when we arrived. Another family came in when we left. We ordered quite some food for 14 person. We couldn't finish and took the balance away. The wait staff had great memory, he could take all our orders without writing them down. He served the drinks to each of us correctly and we were impressed. We had tried better but this is worth a try. Nice building. Not enough car park in the restaurant compound. The smell in the restaurant was just too strong to our liking, we brought the smell back to office and stick in our hair for the whole day to we showered. Lol.
