Delhi Royale — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I recently visited an Indian restaurant( Delhi Royale) with a group of friends and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The management was poor and did not make us feel welcome. From the start, it was clear that our needs and requests were not a priority for them.

We had some concerns regarding the quality of the music and requested for some changes due to one of our friend's birthday. We requested for Chinese song, at first waitress said fine we will do it. But after that the guy come and rudely said us can't play Chinese music here, it's Indian restaurant. As we request, but he said our boss told us don't play any another music or else boss will scold me. We just requested music for few minutes only but he rejected in impolite way. I have been to other Indian restaurant, always they are very welcoming and helpful. Even they play songs on request without any hesitation. But in Delhi Royale Restaurant my experience was very disappointed, even my Chinese friends mood was spoiled too. I felt bad coz I was the one who recommended them Delhi Royale Indian Restaurant. If I knew the waiter arrogant behavior would spoil our day, I would have never recommend this restaurant. Waitress was kind and helpful, she took our pictures several times on our request.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and we were left feeling frustrated and unhappy with the way we were treated. We hope that the management takes our feedback seriously and takes measures to improve their customer service and management skills in the future. During my visit to Kuala Lumpur, I had the pleasure of dining at Delhi Royale, and it was an experience worth remembering. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm, inviting, and elegant — a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern sophistication. The décor, lighting, and seating arrangements all created a relaxing and comfortable dining atmosphere.

We were served by Akshay, who deserves special appreciation for his excellent service. He was polite, attentive, and ensured that everything we needed was taken care of promptly. His friendly approach and professionalism truly enhanced our dining experience and made us feel very welcome.

For food, we tried the biryani and a refreshing juice. The biryani was flavorful, aromatic, and cooked to perfection — every spoonful carried the rich taste of authentic spices without being overpowering. It was easily one of the best biryanis I’ve had in Kuala Lumpur. The juice complemented the meal perfectly, fresh and chilled, balancing out the richness of the main course.

What stood out the most was the attention to detail in both service and presentation. Even though we only sampled a few items, the quality made it clear that Delhi Royale is committed to providing an exceptional dining experience.

Dining at Delhi Royale in KLCC was a very welcomed and wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and an elegant atmosphere that instantly set the mood after a long day out in KL. The décor strikes a perfect balance between modern luxury and classic charm.

The menu offered a wide range of authentic North Indian dishes, each crafted with care and with rich, layered flavors. We especially loved the butter chicken — tender, perfectly cooked, and generously coated in a silky, aromatic sauce. The veggie options were another highlight, with lots of flavours and a deeply satisfying spice profile. Their thin bread was fresh and tasty, perfect for soaking up every delicious curry.

Service was impeccable throughout the night. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ready with recommendations and always ensuring our needs were met with a genuine smile.

The attention to detail, both in the presentation of the food and the overall dining experience, truly set Delhi Royale apart. Whether for a special celebration or simply a craving for outstanding Indian cuisine, this restaurant is very much going to be on my repeat visit list when we visit KLCC.
