Urbean Cafe (Great Eatern Mall) — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I tried Urbean's big breakfast, lamb spaghetti and Mexican ommelette for Sunday lunch. I ordered a delivery through Foodpanda. The food was packed well. Taste wise we loved it. The quantity of food was just nice. I alone had the Mexican ommelette and the lamb spaghetti. The ommelette had black beans and Mexican salsa in it which made me feel like I was on holiday overseas at a fancy resort again. The lamb spaghetti reminded me of being in Rome. The meatballs were super soft yet held together well, with almost no tendons. Just top quality stuff. My wife however had the big breakfast and her first comment was that it looked small for a big breakfast. Unfortunately taste wise she didn't like it. Her benchmark was antipodeans big breakfast. The chai latte however was however a little sweet to her liking. She's a regular chai latte kaki and her usual spots are Dome and CBTL. I think Urbean is going to be our favourite weekend brunch/lunch delivery place. Perhaps once dining in is allowed we will definitely come over and spend time there with some coffee...

I’ve ordered Avocado Thai Chicken and it cost RM34.90 (pricey for a small portion). When I received it I was shocked portion is like side dish / chicken has a horrible smell covered by the swee thai sauce. I was too hungry I finished the entire dish

After paying for the unsatisfactory meal, I saw the photo displayed outside was totally different fr what it had been served to me! I enquired the staff - she just plainly said “oh we don’t have arugula and replace it” I was like wow why didn’t u check back with me when I ordered? Because I’ve asked “ is there anything you don’t have “ before I ordered. This is not acceptable as I felt “cheated”

Question to management :

1. staff communication - Is it ok to just change the main content of the salad arugula to a small without informing the customer ?

2. portion size - small for this price / taste of the small bites of chicken is smelly. Can you assist do a QC check ?

We decided to eat here after browsing the menu. The cafe seems small but they have a pretty decent variety for the food as well as the beverages. We had the beetroot latte, matcha latte, Chai latte for drinks and chicken schnitzel and lamb Meatball Pasta for lunch. Overall we were happy with the food but while the lamb Meatballs were succulent and juicy, the pasta was very salty and almost inedible.

The staff was friendly and promptly came to take the order. However, she was quite blur and kept on having to come back to confirm our order despite confirming for a few times. I ordered the hot beetroot latte but she came with a cold juice. However, after informing her about the incorrect order, she said sorry and replaced it immediately.

Price is a little on the expensive side but quite average for a cafe dish as well as...
