Melayu Malay Cuisine Restaurant — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

I was not going to leave this bad review however ... the clay pot fish dish was so so disappointed from their kitchen staff (it was not hot nor totally just getting some lemon grass and some spicy ingredient from else where and put them together.

and so call beef rendang the same issue (dish has been made for long time) did not even bother to heat them up a little longer.

Oh man! my bad luck day and seeing all those great reviews... simply hard to accept I paid for this $$ . Local or not local- it takes time to build good reputation and respectfulness, but 1 min just to destroy them with that work...

I rarely give 5 stars to a restaurant but trust me this place is a foodie's heaven. The authentic Malay food served here will be a culinary experience of a lifetime. The staff is great with their recommendations and their service. The food is exactly what one craves for in tropical vacations: spicy, juicy and aromatic. We ordered the chicken dishes and let me tell you, it was the best chicken curry I have ever had. I was accompanied with a vegetarian person and she too loved the chicken here. Do not miss this place in Langkawi. Prices are a little on the higher side but then for the food they serve, every penny...

it's a restaurant that's recommended by Lonely Planet, and quite frankly, outside the Kasbah, the best we've been to in Langkawi by a long long shot, and with very reasonable prices!
