5 stars for taste, 3 stars for service.

Try this place if you are keen on a lighter version of the Melaka asam pedas. The gravy is light and even good enough to be eaten like a soup.

Try the ikan pari and jenahak. The fish are fresh and sweet and will satisfy your palates.

The fried chicken are decent and the sambal belacan is great and used to be very hot. But my last visit here the sambal belacan is much less hot.

Service can be better. Google maps says its open from 1100am and yes the place is open at 1145am when we arrived however we were told to come back by 100pm since they are not serving yet before that.

Came back at 115pm to a full house. Were told to wait in the queue for a table but were cut off by the group behind us. The group then told us we need to be quick to "chup" the table and not wait in line. This is the Melaka...

Another local famous restaurant for Asam pedas, but for me it not up to my expectation the Asam pedas not thick and low in spiciness which kill my expectation of Asam pedas melaka. Neverthenless this restaurant is always almost full with local and local tourist.

This place has many option of dishes if you not fond of Asam Pedas.

I haven’t eaten at Restoran 35 Melaka myself, but I wanted to share because it’s going viral on TikTok for the wrong reasons. From what I’ve seen and heard, the owner and staff are rude, shout, and curse at customers, even saying “this is how Melaka talk” to excuse themselves. The food is overpriced, and the service is really bad. They show arrogance and disrespect, making fun of people instead of being polite.
