Maidah Pakistani and Arabic Restaurant — Restaurant in Malacca

I’ve dined at Maidah Pakistani and Arabic Restaurant three times during my stay in Malacca, and here’s my honest take based on the overall experience:

🌟 Food Quality – 5/5

The food is flavorful and authentic, especially if you’re a fan of Pakistani and Middle Eastern cuisine. The biryani is aromatic, with tender meat and a nice spice balance. The naan is fresh and fluffy, perfect with their creamy butter chicken or mutton curry. Consistency can vary slightly between visits, but the core flavors remain solid.

🍽️ Portions – 5/5

Portions are generous for the price. Great for families or if you’re really hungry. You won’t leave the place feeling short-changed.

🧑‍🍳 Service – 4.5/5

Service is polite but a little slow, especially during peak hours. Staff are friendly and willing to explain the dishes, but at times, it felt a bit understaffed. If you’re not in a rush, it’s manageable.

🧼 Cleanliness & Ambience – 4.5/5

The interior is simple and clean, nothing too fancy, but comfortable for casual dining. A little more effort in decor or ambiance could elevate the experience, especially given the rich culinary heritage they’re offering.

💰 Value for Money – 5/5

For the taste and portion size, the prices are reasonable. It’s not overly cheap, but you get what you pay for. Ideal if you’re looking for hearty, flavorful meals that aren’t overly commercialized.

I went to this restaurant twice and seriously i fall in love with their foods especially kebab and shawarma (i really love kebabs and shawarma so much).

Shawarma chicken or beef is so delicious combining with their garlic sauce. Savory and tasty. Previously i had try a Turkiye shawarma in pasar malam jalan TAR. That is the benchmark for my shawarma hunting. And so far the shawarma in this restaurant is at par. Both have different signatories but we could grasp the similarities in it.

The bryani beef was served with sour sauce and something like dhal. And the taste is so good that eating the rice and beef is enough. The portion is quite big and you can share if you want to.

Kebabs. Damn so good. Really suite my taste. The spices, the grill, the perfection are enough for me. Before paying. Take away is a must.

Kunafa. I seldomly trying a kunafa but this one is not bad. Usually i dislike kunafa due to its sweetness. But i think i can eat this kunafa. As it well balanced with cheese that is salty and the sugar syrup.

I was hoping that there is a branch in Selangor sicne i am living in Klang but deep inside i think it is better do not have a branch so they can keep their authenticness.

Anyway, the staffs are polite and helpful and could give some recommendation from the menu.

The price: i could say that it is reasonable and affordable. Looking at their portion and i think people able to afford it. Please do not be afraid to give this restaurant a try. Hopefully this review...

This is a very newly opened restaurant that we went to by chance. Our family ordered the Beef Briyani, Palak Paneer, Boneless Chicken Tikka and Cheese Naan.

The Briyani rice itself is flavourful and fragrant, topped with tender beef. The Palak Paneer (Spinach with paneer cheese) was delicious and the chicken tikka was well seasoned. Only the cheese naan was a bit different than the usual Malaysian cheese naan.

The interior decor is nice and the restaurant itself is clean. All our meals arrived within 15 minutes.

We brought our toddler daughter with us and the Manager was so accommodating toward her. Definitely a family friendly restaurant, suitable for children and elderly people too.

Price: RM 70+ for all our foods plus drinks. Money well spent for the quality and big portions.
