Riverside Kopitiam — Restaurant in Malacca

If you love dry "nyonya laksa", they have this. If you love really really really really really thick oily wantan mee, they have this. If you like to wait 30 to 40 minutes for your nasi lemak even during non busy hour, you go here. If you dont mind to look at the river for 30-40minutes waiting for your food, this is exactly what you are paying for, instead of the mediocre food. We can see the table next to us also glancing many times to the kitchen door perhaps feeling so hangry like we did. I gag trying to eat my oily wantan mee. Please avoid this place at all cost. The river view not worth it. Walk a bit more steps further maybe the restaurant next door is better. But not this one. We do appreciate they are apologetic for the really late food. But mannn the food...

We came on Sunday morning, not super peak season, however the service and food was disappointing. We order 2 sets butter kaya toast, nasi lemak ayam goreng berempah, and mutabak chicken, 2 Milo and 1 Kopi cham. The system required went to counter to pay first. Nasi lemak served after more than half hour of waiting, butter kaya toast served after 40 minutes of waiting, drinks served abt 45minutes of waiting, mutabak chicken served after 1 hour of waiting. It's ridiculous. Worse than that is fried chicken was not fully cooked! We asked for re-cook, another long waiting. The toasts are not taste good, not crispy. Avoid this restaurant. Don't come here, unless you are not hungry or have time to wait. Not recommended....

The ambience is very 'happening'. With a lot of trishaws passed by... Being entertained by the Warong Asam Pedas PRamli' owner exquisite husky voice. It is a truly out of this world experience... Please try the Kopi Melaka, the aroma of the coffee will keep up awake until the next day... The butter + peanut toast bread is very scrumptious when dipped in the Kopi Melaka... The Kopi Cham is excellent with a well balanced ratio of coffee + tea... I would love to recommended the tourists and Malaccans to discover this hidden gem.. This place is an unforgettable place in...
