With such hot & stuffy weather nowadays plus the presence of old folks who easily got tired after walking for a brief period. I think that we had only walked around Jonker Walk area for less than an hour before the elderly looked visibly tired.
With that in mind, I suggested a coffee break and suddenly everyone's face lit up đ I'd prefer to explore more given the choice but no choice la..
The Coffee JAR is only 50m from Shan Shu Gong, our last stop for souvenirs. A small and quaint cafe adopting minimalist trend, it provide a short respite from the heat outside and also for the legs to rest.
âŸBurnt cheesecake was enough to fill the tummy a little and to go with our drinks. âŸCeremonial matcha was my choice as I didn't want anything with dairy at that time. âŸMatcha latte both hot & cold were very good complete with art. âŸcold brew tea was perfect for those who prefer less caffeine in their drinks.
We didn't order their coffee this time but judging from the quality of the overall quality, it should be good. Good for those who love to...

Visited The Coffee Jar over two mornings during our trip and I can see why itâs so highly recommended!
I first came across this cafe through posts raving about their coffee whiskey cocktail, so I had to try it. We dropped by around 9:30 AM. I ordered the coffee whiskey (inspired by a bloggerâs recommendation), while my friend had the cappuccino and a single origin latte.
The place has such a cool, stylish vibe. you can really tell the owner is passionate about coffee, from the design to the menu.
The coffee whiskey was strong, smooth, and surprisingly easy to drink. I also tried my friendâs cappuccino and single origin latte, both were excellent.
I loved it so much that I brought my boss and colleague along the very next morning, arriving early at 8:30 AM!
Note: If youâre planning to order the single origin latte or other special drinks, those are personally crafted by the owner so do wait for him to be around!
Highly recommended for coffee lovers...
