Nebula Cafe By The River (PORK-FREE) — Restaurant in Malacca

Ordered the 180gm sirloin, it's not really edible... Way too much fat, I do understand that this part is fatty, but should have a better way to cook it so that it's made edible and even delicious, but this one that we have u can say most of it are not edible.... Not only us, we also saw the other customers sitting next table to us having same dish, and complain the same as we do.. The mashed potatoes, also very raw.. u can still taste the potato like it's still raw.. As for the Mac and cheese burger, the burger is nice, but not perfect.. the fries used are cheap fries, no crunchy... Much much more room for improvement, for the price u pay for their food, should have a much better and consistent quality of food. As for the service, I give only 3 stars because of their attitude... When they want u to dine in, their attitude is good, but that can't show nothing.. the next day passing by during noon time, there's a guy, before I even asked, he already said no.. meaning whatever it is, it will be a no... When they want your money, they pretend to be good, but when they not taking youroney, it's a no for everything .. that shows their attitude, or at least on of the waiter's attitude. As for those who sit outside, the waiters know also it's no smoking, but they just allow their customers to do so... Not only that, they bring the ashtray for them.. I mean like if u can't stop your customers from smoking, at least u don't encourage them to do so, telling them it's a no smoking in restaurant... If they won't listen, then u can't really do anything, but they encourage them...

Well well, here come some reviews for food, environment and service.

Pepperoni Pizza - taste good but the side of the bread little bit too thick for thin crust. Also the taste of the dough bit plain. Can be improve.

Smokey BBQ Chicken - no comment on the chicken as it taste good. As for the side, the mash potatoes served in plain. Try to put with mash potatoes sauce it will be nice.

Hawaiian Burger - nice in plating but the meat little dried and little bit overcooked. So far the taste are ok.

Carbonara - nothing much to comment on this. Taste, not bad.

Drink - smoothies mix berry, perhaps little bit wrong concept of it. It should be blend smoothies with some real berries as dressing. Existing it looks more like plain yogurt blended with some berries.

Environment - they just moved over to this new place so nothing much can comment on this but it has nice view on river side. If owner can make some space especially outdoor, it would be nice because it wouldn’t be so cramp and hot. Also for the plain water served free as standard dine in, it can be removed from the drink menu. Customer would be misunderstanding to order plain water for 50 sen. Serving plain water wouldn’t cost must for those who dine in.

Service - this I would give 5 star rating. The serve and service perfectly and friendly.

Atmosphere - Great scenery. Of course, you get the same scenery from along the entire stretch of the river, so it's up to you. You should come here just before sunset and watch the transition as the lights dim and the waters reflect the various lights.

Food - The hot buffalo burger was pretty banger. Very filling and does not get 'jelak' overtime. Not too spicy, but a bit tangy. The watermelon juice was average.

Alcohol - Don't bother to get a glass. The glass of alcohol is tiny, not worth it at all. Get the pint if you are getting a drink. Connors was good.

Service - Staff was always welcome to help, be it adjust seating, getting you more drinks, payment etc.

Amenities -

1. They have toilets, but it's at level 2. The stairs up are a big nono. Really steep and really small holding per step. Be careful.

2. Not air-conditioned (I think) but there are multiple fans around. Cooling enough.

2)They have a charging socket at some of the tables inside, great if you need a quick charge if you have your charging brick. They even have travel plugs in place for your convenience.

Parking - Nearby parking in this area is a mini nightmare. There are several paid parking open areas around you could try though. I didn't drive/ride here for...
