The restaurant looked okay at first, but things went downhill fast. After we made our order, a huge cockroach popped out from under our table and landed on my sister during what was supposed to be a nice family lunch. The staff, who weren’t locals, thought it was funny before rushing to get rid of the bug, so we couldn’t even get a picture of it.

And it got worse. Upon ordering, we asked for smaller portions because we’re light eaters. However, they gaslighted us in getting the big ones, claiming small portions were only for two people. It felt like a rip-off. While the food itself wasn’t terrible, it was a bit salty and came in big portions, despite some reviews saying otherwise.

In light of the pest incident and the misleading portion sizes, we expected the staff to be apologetic and offer a discount as a gesture of goodwill. However, they refused, displaying a lack of accountability.

So, if you don’t mind bugs or being misled, you might still want to check it out. Otherwise, I’d say...

Dine in dinner on 4th day of CNY. As expected the place is packed with holiday goers but my group had made prior reservations. Food taste was mediocre, some hits and many more misses. The sweet sour pork was the biggest winner along with fried french bean. So if such simple dishes were the main highlight then you can guess how other dishes fare. The pork ribs were dry, lala soup was cold and came with lots of empty shells, ginger chicken had an unpleasant taste and the hot plate toufu did not come with taufu, but with taw kua instead. Quite disappointed with quality of food, the CNY crowd obviously played a factor as they needed to cater for large groups. They gave 20% discount off some dishes after we made some complaints and took the feedback in good regard, so kudos to the lady manning...

Please do not let a old uncle serve you...... He is the one calling you in like the devil. This restaurant it's a scam. Ordered small yong chow, small full moon kuey teow and a small seaweed soup and for drinks we ordered as recomended by this uncle 3 ice chrysanthemums tea but instead a huge pot and ice bucket...... Uncle use common sense lo 2 person big pot you think we hippo ah can drink so much. Overall food ok but beware prices not as shown on menu. It cost us RM 75 plus for that lunch. Guess what we never when back as we stayed 3d 2n in a nearby hotel. Personally never felt rip off. So just a word of caution never trust an old man. Looks can be deceiving, there is much more better...

2024 Aug: I returned to this area for an overnight stay and revisited the restaurant. We ordered spinach soup, Thai-style fried chicken, chili crab, deep-fried buns to dip in the chili crab gravy, and a pot of hot tea. Everything tasted delicious and satisfying. The total bill came to RM 384, with two-thirds of the cost attributed to the crab. 2024 July: Overnight at this area for one night in the weekend. We had a satisfying dinner here! ❤️ Steamed Kepah Shell w Lemon (柠檬沙白) was very good and very appetizing! (rm 48) Dongpo Meat (东坡肉) with 4 mini bun was very good (rm 43). Marmite Chicken (rm28) was ok. Belancan Potato Leaf (rm23) was ok. Next time I will try their fried noodles and fried rice 😊
