Travellers Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Pahang

My boyfriend ordered a chicken tikka masala from here - which I believe comes from the kitchen of the Curry Leaf restaurant next door as the curries come from the other direction as other food and the curry leaf’s menu is exactly the same as the Indian menu here.

The taste was lovely and my boyfriend really enjoyed it. However, the problems began when he cut into his last piece of chicken which was pink and raw in the middle. Obviously he stopped eating it straight away, and informed the waiter, he said sorry then offered a new portion, which was declined and he took the plate back to next door.

We sat there for a while and finished our drinks and weren’t approached by any of the waiters/other staff to ask if we wanted the bill or to apologise any further about the raw meat. So we asked for the bill and the curry was still on there!

We are not the type of people to complain in restaurants and expect things to be knocked off the bill, but when it comes to raw chicken that may have made my boyfriend seriously ill I feel it’s extremely poor that we were still expected to pay for it and weren’t really offered any apology other than “sorry”.

We told the staff that we were not prepared to pay for the curry, and they knocked it off straight away. But I feel this could have been dealt with much better as we have left unhappy about not only the undercooked meat but also the response to the situation from staff.

My pizza was fine, nothing majorly special but nothing wrong with it. So if you choose to eat here I would avoid the curries and also avoid the curry...

the one and only restaurant & bar in tanah rata,cameron highlands which provides excellent food and drinks...very well mantained for a 20 year old bar...this place deserved to be a perfect hangout for anyone who loves to chill and enjoy food with great taste...drinks and food are not pricey...would like to give credit to Thevin who runs the place, friendly bartendar Deen and of course the masterchef Razak...ambience is smoothing and confortable,music volume is just nice and the toilet is very clean...5 star for the service,5 star for the price,5 star for the food...if u havent been to this place,then u are missing alot in cameron highlands....thanks for everything and all the best for travellers...

Worst experience....food was so so only. Ordered carbonara and it was very dry tasteless. Here comes the important part which made me to give up wt this bar.....Macallan Sherry Oak Cask 12 years RM650, tasted nothing but just methanol. The methanol smell was very strong and cant be adjusted with any mixing. I approached the staff/manager ( Muslim) but he said he couldnt do much about it and confirmed to me that this was the taste!!! he mentioned he got it from @ Tong Woh Enterprise Sdn Bhd (HQ) !!!! Dont get your liqours here. The manager was utter rude. Dont go here....complete...
