Went for lunch with an expectation but unfortunately didn't meet
Waited outside restaurant to be seated for around 15-20min. Saw some people just get in and sit at any empty table. Went inside to ask cashier whether we should just sit or wait to be seated, and by the time cashier was answering, the waiter already seated another customer. There are only 2 waiters to seat customer, take order, and clean the table with around 50-60 customers at one time. After being seated, waited for another 15min for the waiter to come and take order. Ordered single set, ala carte rice & sambal petai, together with drinks. Waited for 5min to be served with banana leave. ONLY. Few minutes more to receive ala carte rice & sambal petai, but no news on single set. Add another 5-7min to be served with condiments on single set. The person brought a set of 4 condiments, but only served 3. Got snakegourd, cucumber and potato, but didn't get the cabbage. Don't know if customer supposed to choose 3 out of 4, or all is complimentary in the set, wasn't informed by person taking the order or the person serving the condiment. Add some more 7min+ for the rice and the texture is quiet mushy, different to the ala carte rice received earlier which is better. Gravy was served afterwards. Received papadom 2-3min later. The last and most important thing to prevent from choking, drink, was served 5-7min after papadom. While my iced tea was still cold, my mother's hot lemon tea was getting to the warmer side, due to the drinks were prepared earlier but no person to serve them. Noticed on the menu earlier that there should be dried chili and free rasam, but didn't bother to ask as the mood was already lost. Just eat as it is still food and we paid for it. Can't deny the effort put for the deco and setup, but nothing can beat good food and service offered to customers. Congrats to others that had good experience here, but for me, I won't come here again if you keep this way of running the business. Might go to OBL if they decided to open here in the future. Food was better, condiments have much more varieties, and...

As a Malaysian Indian, Iâm honestly tired of going through these subtle yet painful moments of racial discrimination especially in places where weâre just trying to enjoy a meal like everyone else.
I walked into BananaBro Sunway Carnival today with a starving stomach, craving the Craving Set (which includes 3 sides and papadam). The restaurant wasnât even crowded I was the only new customer at that time. But no one served me for the first 10 minutes. Just silence.
Then one Indian staff finally brought the banana leaf, rice, and⌠just TIMUN (cucumber). Thatâs all. No other sides. No curry. Nothing. Just dry white rice with cucumber. đ When I asked, he casually said, âLater theyâll serve.â
Even my bottled water took 20 minutes to arrive. I waited nearly 20 minutes eating dry rice and cucumber. It was humiliating. đĽ˛
When I asked again why I only got timun, he replied, âThis set has timun only.â I had to point to the menu image to get the rest of the items. And even then, he forgot the papadam.
When I asked for curry refill, he said someone else would come. That person took another 5 minutes to show up. I asked him if papadam was included he said yes, and again, asked me to wait 5 more minutes to get it. đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸
What made this worse? I watched other customers of different races walk in they were served quickly, politely, and completely. No confusion. No delay. Just good service.
This wasnât just slow service. This felt intentional. Like I was invisible. đĄ
I know this review may not change anything⌠but itâs important to say this: đ I paid just like every other customer. I deserved equal respect and treatment not to be ignored, brushed off, or made to feel like I wasnât welcome.
BananaBro, please do better. We donât walk into your restaurant asking for VIP treatment. We ask only for basic dignity and...

We came to the restaurant and wait outside before enter the restaurant. It take about 20 minutes but we accept it because we get it, during public holidays it may take longer or more. Then went our turn to enter the restaurant. We are inform by the worker of the restaurant we must wait because our table is not prepared yet. They doing some cleaning and then we get in to our table. After a few minutes we get our drinks and sides food we order. But we wait almost 20 minutes we didn't get a rice and the banana leaves. Other people are enter the restaurant after us also getting the food as soon as they enter the restaurant. The staff did not ask we are we getting the food or anything. I just walk to the staff and inform the staff that we didn't have a single rice or banana leaves. After that we get our food. Either they forgot about me and my wife or just they didn't care about customer. The staff that service didn't say a word or say sorry because they didn't treat us earlier. It just makes us feel angry and unhappy with a food and the service. After we finish eating, but didn't really finish the food. Because we feel unhappy with a service. I came to pay and did say a few words with the staff to inform about the service that we get. Then the staff inform us because the restaurant in the peak hour and public holidays. So it take times, but I did inform to the staff that other people@ couple that came after us were getting they food first before we. They realised that we didn't get any food after I ask them about our food. it was really a terrible experience for us. I hope they can improve the...
