I’m converted!!! 💗This has to one of the best Chinese style egg tarts I’ve ever had, coming from someone who doesn’t like egg tarts! 😂 To clarify I’ve had many egg tarts, and usually haunted by a headache from the simple waft because of the “egginess” but I’ll try it because my man absolutely loves egg tarts and I am always hopeful I’ll find a good one. AND this certainly impressed me! Incredibly puffy light buttery layers of pastry, custard is the perfect combination of sweetness, light yet creamy silky deliciousness! If you want box, get 6 pieces. ( most Chinese pastry shops have this typical rule) Went to Hong Kee Main branch last time, egg tarts there are served warmer than this branch shop.

This is a copykat of the original Hong Kee egg tart, which used to operate here. Hong Kee has closed down this stall due to insufficient manpower and now only operates in its own shop aka factory. The new stall, Hou Kee, misled people by using the same stall, similar name and same colour scheme for its signage (Yellow background with red chinese letters) it is even more expensive than the original one.
