We went here on a public holiday, only 2 dishes were available which is understandable. We got the asam laksa and veg noodle curry (can't remember the exact name). We asked for no egg to make it vegan which was understood and accomodated easily. Both dishes were fantastic! The laksa was so interesting, spicy and sour, lots of fresh herbs as well as cucumber and pineapple, udon noodles and beansprouts, etc absolutely delicious. The curry was also very good, tofu puffs and lots of veg in a rich, flavourful curry broth. We were very impressed, really excellent food for very cheap, only paid 23rm all in. Recommend if you are vegan, just ask for no egg.

Dropped by for early lunch on our visit to Ipoh. Quiet and peaceful place. We ordered Nam Ping tofu, claypot mixed vegetables and stir fried sweet potato leaves as recommended by the owner. The tofu and claypot vegetables are very good. We like it that they use a variety of vegetables and fresh ingredients to flavour the food instead of using just mock meat. The menu is very well planned with many creative dishes, something different from the usual vegetarian dishes found in the market. They have tea too. Overall nice place with nice ambience for fine vegetarian meal, at a reasonable price. Will definitely visit again if we are in Ipoh.

Nice cozy place, quiet and clean. Came over for dinner around 6:40pm as it closed at 8pm. The lady boss is very nice and patient in waiting for us to check on the menu and give good recommendations on what we want. Good food, taste great and will come back again. The loh-han tofu and fry oyster mushroom are simply great. The vegetarian chicken taste good as well but I am not a mock meat person. So will skip next time. Wanton noodle and Siam fried meehoon is great. Highly recommended and will come back again.

I recently dined at the 木子坊 Restaurant and was blown away by the quality of food and the exceptional service that the staff provided. As a vegetarian, it's always a refreshing change to find a restaurant that not only provides a good selection of vegetarian options but also creates delicious and nourishing meals! The restaurant's decor is soothing and beautiful, providing a serene atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meal. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making excellent recommendations on the menu and ensuring that everything was to my liking. The food itself was simply amazing! Every dish was cooked to perfection, packed with rich flavors and a variety of textures. To add on, the teas there accommodate well with the dishes as it helps to cleanse my palate.

Overall, I highly recommend 木子坊 restaurant to anyone seeking a wholesome and delicious dining experience. Their menu offers something for everyone, and the quality of food and service is exceptional. I look forward to my next...

We chanced upon this new vegetarian establishment off main road in Ipoh Town centre. It has been opened for less than 2 months. The environment is quiet and interior decor is rather Zen like with Gucheng music playing. They have natural ingredients with minimal use of mock meat. Flavour is simple and has minimal MSG. Pricing is mid level and felt well worth the value. They also have exquisite Chinese tea that goes by the pot. We returned the day after our first visit. The black vinegar rice, asam laksa, deep fried abalone mushrooms is a must try. I will visit this place again and higly recommend for people who enjoy quiet and Zen like environment while sipping on fine chinese tea. A must try if you are...

It was ok, Asam Laksa got lots of herbs but was too sweet. The plum juice we asked for less sugar, it still came out pretty sweet. The fried udon was okay, the veggies (cabbage)could’ve been fresher as it had a slight old sweet-sour taste. It wasn’t the end of the day, but needed vinegar to cut through that flavour but when I asked she said you don’t need it for udon. But she brought it out anyways saying that it’s for other dish, it was okay a bit weird attitude have to say haha! 65rm for 4 dishes, but the portion wasn’t that big. Overall the lady who served us was very pushy, but when we said we love spicy chilli the guy gave us some extra hot hot chillis that was very nice, we...
