If you read quite a number of reviews here, you will find that most of them contain this word: queue. I guess my response to that is go as early as you can if you don't want to queue for long. Because I certainly didn't have to queue (but mind you, there's quite a queue when we left the place).
Of course, I went and ordered the Butterbeer equivalent of beverage of the cafe (it has a different name, Butterscotch something). And as someone who's never tasted butterbeer, it's okay I guess? 🤷🏽♂️ It taste buttery, with a few drops of caramel and a hint of cinnamon. I wouldn't say it's worth the price of admission or anything. But the cake we ordered is not bad.
They also charge around RM10 if you wanted to rent the Hogwarts robe, wizard hat and wand. It has all 4 colours (even though my blue scarf is not really Ravenclaw accurate colours) for you to choose from. So then you can wear it while you take your photos in the faux Diagon Alley street.
The ambience is not bad. It's not loud or anything. And honestly, I wouldn't go in expecting to eat. And I presume most shouldn't anyway. It's more because it's the closest thing you can get to the Wizarding World. Go in, take your pictures. And off you go with your Firebolts.
As a Potterhead who cannot afford to go to the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London, UK to experience the Harry Potter sets, I guess this will do. For now....
Read moreIf you are a HP fans who plan to come here just for HP, pls don't, you'll be disappointed. Here's the few points that I think HP fans shouldn't come on the sake of HP.
First, the decorations. Not much decos are related to HP. And there has so many unrelated stuff (some random statues...) exists as part of decos, it's weird. The photo taking place are more like a store room, anything also put at there. It's confusing. It's like u places some HP deco and said that u r HP theme cafe. Upstairs the deco of cafe is quite nice for photo shooting, but not HP theme.
Next, the music in the cafe. They are playing radio...? It's so disappointing that the atmosphere in the cafe is not HP at all. Maybe they can at least play some music related to HP.
Third, the beverages. I brought Japanese Matcha Latte, the matcha isn't well dissolved and smooth. It's a bit pricy, at this range of prices, u can find lots of more good cafe out there.
In short, if u just wanted to find some place to sit, to hang out, have some food and 'Instagramable' photos, just go. If u r going for HP, u better go to the bookxcess near here and buy some HP nice...
Read moreFix your attitude handling customer’s complaints well please. Just because your cafe is viral doesn’t mean its cue for u not to listen people’s suggestion.
Instead of half yelling from ur barista spot “hello hello turun turun. Beli air baru bole naik”. You guys can step out from the barista spot and talk to the customer closely and said “excuse me, miss. Can I see ur receipt please?”
Instead of denying what u guys do, please accept our complaints and handle it well. Instead of keep on denying.. u guys can say sorry as simple as that.. instead of saying “anything else?” to end the ranting, u guys can say “we are sorry for the inconvenience that u guys faced. We understand what u felt. We will fix it and serve u better soon. Is there anything i can help u with to make u feel better?”
Well actually we just wanna hear the “sorry” from u guys. Not the free item and so on.
Learn how to handle situations well. You guys are working as customer...
