I recently had a chance to revisit Ipoh, and wow, it was buzzing with life! The weekend crowd was much livelier than my last visit during school holidays. Walking along the streets, we were struck by the sheer number of dessert cafĂ©sâpractically one every few steps. Weâd initially planned to try a different cafĂ© downstairs, but our plans flew out the window when we spotted the fluffiest, most inviting soufflĂ© through a window. It was calling our names!
The café, tucked away on the second floor, had a cosy vibe with plenty of seating, and luckily, it was only half-full when we arrived. Not long after, a line started to form at the entrance, with everyone eager to get a taste of their soufflés. We decided to go all in and ordered the Biscoff Caramel Soufflé, Tiramisu, and a Berry Soufflé.
The cafĂ© itself was charming and comfortable, with big windows giving us a lovely view of the cityâs bustling streets below. As a nice touch, they offered free drinking water, which is always appreciated! The green latte and tiramisu arrived first, beautifully presented with a little cookie on the side. The tiramisu had a rich coffee flavourâmaybe a touch sweet for my taste, but still delicious.
Then, the star of the show: the soufflĂ©s. They took a bit of time, but the wait was worth it. When they arrived, they looked like fluffy clouds on a plateâthree big, pillowy pieces topped with all sorts of delicious condiments. It was a true feast for the eyes, and let me tell you, they tasted just as amazing as they looked!
The soufflĂ© was a dreamâmelting in your mouth, literally! We were glad we decided to share it because, wow, it gets intense fast. The texture is so rich and decadent that trying to finish a whole serving solo would have been overwhelming. The soufflĂ© paired with fresh fruit was genius; the fruity acidity perfectly balanced the richness, keeping each bite exciting. As for the Biscoff soufflé⊠letâs just say itâs a treat for serious dessert lovers! The Biscoff was incredibly richâalmost too much on its own, but definitely an experience worth savoring.

Read moreI'm so sorry to say that it was a bad experience for my second visit...my sister came back from Singapore and she say this is in her to-eat-list for a long time but it was so disappointed as well for her and will never come back again...
I came once with my friends like months ago or last year, even though the place was hot in the afternoon đ„” but as I can remember, the souffles was served hot and it tasted sooo fluffy! I enjoyed that sooo much!
But now for the second visit, even though it's cozy at night with Aircon and nice temperature and atmosphere, the souffles and shaved iced is really disappointed âčïž
We ordered the Niko Niko matcha souffles because we like matcha and the menu picture looked so nice...but turns out it looked more like pandan souffles with the colouring, and the display of it is just not appetizing at all đ„ the souffles is not warm and not fluffy at all...it's doesn't taste as good as before already... So I STRONGLY ADVISE TO AVOID ORDERING NIKO NIKO MATCHA SOUFFLES.
The Yam shaved ice is very colouring too and taste just so so, there are many places in Ipoh taste much better with the same price...
The only one that is acceptable is the creme brulee shuffle in the taste, but the quality and fluffiness of souffles are really really really disappointing...
I wish there will be some improvement from the owner in making sure the quality and fluffiness of the souffles because that's the only thing people come to this souffles specialty cafe - to enjoy the fluffiness and warmness of the souffles when we are taking every bite of it, if the souffles does not taste fluffy at all, I dunno why people will still be coming...
Read moreWe were initially excited to try the souffle here after passing by a few times when in Ipoh. We came from Shah Alam.
We ordered 4 types of souffles and waited patiently for them. Only 3 came and 1 wasn't delivered. Still we waited for 20 mins, still no news. I went to enquire with one of the staff walking by and still no news. Then I had to go to another staff at the cashier to enquire.
Guess what!!. We were shocked to find out that 1 order was not in the system while the ticket on our table with our orders clearly showed all 4 orders were there!
To make matters worst, the staffs there especially Jeslina who made the mistake did not even bother to apologize for the mistake but kept on saying "ok", "ok", "ok" till I had to "school" her on when u make mistake, u say what? Grudgingly she said sorry.
I am appalled with such bad manners and lack of professionalism from Jeslina and other staffs. Imagine if I didnt enquire, I could be there for hours waiting for a non existent souffle!!
No remorse, no sorries till hv to ask for it (lack of manners) and no professionalism shown by the staffs to try to ease my unhappiness.
It is a tragic as u hv good food but ur staff's mistakes and attitude will lost customers in...
