I should have posted my reviews for this restaurant way back… like 10 - 15 years ago. Uncles are getting older now but their food still the best in the area. Ordered Sauced steamed Tilapia Sweet and sour pork Fried Vegi with Roasted Pork Steamed egg Signature Toufu Food served fast and they have full blast of fans around. Not so hot for a restaurant without air conditioning. Middle height ceiling though. The restaurant is right at the front of “Yi Lai Hong” with a lot of passerby tourists Overall experience: dishes taste like mom’s cook and with affordable price. Will come here more frequent

At Ipoh Old Town, we had our lunch at this heritage Cantonese cuisine Wong Koh Kee. The place was flushed with old heritage backdrop, marble tables, wooden chairs and the floor filled will small old tiles. We had stir fried young watercrest leafs with roasted pork in belacan sauce which was very inviting in taste and flavour. Sliced beef with ginger and spring onion was nice too, tender in texture. A simple and lovely steam egg with century egg and salted egg yolk. Lunch was pretty home feel and perfectly captivating ♥️♥️♥️

I think the food is over rated. You can easily find better stir fry. I find the dishes lack "wok hei". I have to say the steam 3 egg with mince meat was good. Now y just 3 star. I took a walk to the restroom.......kitchen was messy, wet, old, cramp and not clean........chef was a. Old gentleman, messy hair with no hair cover, right hand on the laddle, left hand smoking - just like what u see in classic Chinese movies..........

Paid RM139 for stir-fry watercress with roasted pork, braised fish head (hoong xiu fish head), sweet & sour pork, steamed 3 yolks egg, 6 rice and a pot of Chinese tea. Crowded and lack of manpower, do expect some delay & need to wait even though order had been placed earlier in the morning. The fish meat very strong fishy and mud taste which was a waste coz we have to throw most of it away. We were told the fish is RM55 and 6 rice is RM9. As for the other 3 dishes, the prices were unknown as bill not provided. It’s really expensive as the 3 dishes (stir-fry watercress with roasted pork, steamed 3 yolks egg & sweet & sour pork) costs RM75. It’s better if you ask the boss for the itemized bill as I believed he either calculated wrongly or overcharged us. It’s too late for us to ask for it as we left the...

hidden gem in Concubine Lane, heard from the locals about this 3rd-gen restaurant. I would have walk pass without noticing, because there's hardly anyone during off-peak hours and interior was like a very humble-like old coffeeshop for breakfast. Yummy Yummy Chinese food, great for families. Be there early to grab seats. Kind and helpful boss. We ordered: steam lala, trio egg, watercress xi yang cai vege, ku lo yoke sweet sour pork etc. Though it's my first try, I introduced this place to a Western couple who are senior citizens residing in Ipoh for their retirement, and I'm glad they enjoy the food here too (another new dining place for them). can't wait for my next visit, wanna try their hong cao steam fish. Recommended by another table (friendly aunties) , during my last trip...
