The Best Restaurant • 靚靚燉湯 — Restaurant in Perak

Have not been here for a few years and decided to go on a Friday night with my husband.

Once I entered the place, there was a funny smell and I just thought it was because the place is old. The host sat us at a table and that area smelled as well.

We placed our orders for the following items (not exact names): Salted Vegetable Soup Seafood Fried Egg Tofu with Minced Meat Vegetable (Yau Mak) Chinese Tea (cold)

The dishes took a while to reach us and we were starving by then. The food was alright, definitely not as good as before and there were a lot of dishes that were "sold out" (probably because we came late). While eating, we saw a roach crawling across the dining hall.

The price for the food is mid level pricing, a little more expensive than usual. I would probably not return there, the smell in the place really solidified...

Variety to choose. But "Vnam Delight" at Station 18 seem can get some soup at lower price.

Customer services experience vary. Previously, it is okay. Recently, do not feel their hospitality. It is not sure it is new staff or the boss. It look like it is new staff.

They no longer bring the bill to me to pay and expect me to go to cashier to pay. She never give me the bill if never requested. When I requested the bill. She stunned for a while, eventually she give me the bill.

When I scrutinize the bill. The amount lesser than what I pay. The bill excluded drink. No wonder she don't want to bring the bill to my table for me to pay and she stunned when I requested the bill.

It is not sure a staff try to cheat the company or the boss try to evade SST...

I was pleasantly surprised, after coming across their menu outside the restaurant and deciding to order takeaway.. I decided to check out Google maps and saw some recent negative reviews. I had a much different experience, the staff, especially the one waiter possibly manager was very helpful answering my questions and taking my order.

I decided to try the sweet and sour chicken, which was pretty tasty... It's not 'the best' I've ever had but definitely an option I'd order again. The mixed veggies were exactly the type of thing I was looking for and my wife and I both found it to be delicious.

I'll be back to try some other dishes like the vegetarian fried rice and other things...
