Astons Specialities | One Utama • New Wing — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

I visited Aston’s Specialities restaurant at 1 Utama’s new wing on January 13, 2025. The environment was clean, and the atmosphere featured dim lighting, which created a cozy vibe while still allowing me to see the food clearly. The service was acceptable, neither exceptional nor lacking.

I ordered the set lunch, which included the Fiery Chicken Chop, paired with onion rings, garden vegetables, and a glass of Coke Zero. The Fiery Chicken Chop was the highlight of my meal—it was juicy, tender, and had a delightful hint of chili that added a subtle kick without overpowering the flavors. The onion rings were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft inside, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, the garden vegetables were served cold, which was slightly disappointing. It would have been perfect if they had been served warm or hot to complement the rest of the meal.

Oh, and one more thing—you’ll get a complimentary single scoop of ice cream for writing and posting a Google review!

Decided to try a new place which we haven't been in One Utama. Read the other reviewers and apparently looked like reasonable priced for steaks and all. Kinda true compared to the shop next door if you asked me :p

So, we ordered the combo chargrilled chicken and Grilled fish combo. Chicken was tasty but fish was just alright. Their baked potatoes doesn't come with any topping of sour cream, chives and bacon but just butter. Waiter was nice enough to give us extra butter as it did seemed too dry.. Carbonara and spaghetti was pretty good if you asked me.

Nachos was a little unseasoned but then again it was finished as we were famished!

Drinks, colada was interesting with coconut aka lived up to the name pina colada?

Service was good, they gave us a lot of space and privacy.

Ambience, the place was definitely airy.. Deco was half opened but still private since we were housed at a booth..

BTW I asked if they gave anything complimentary for birthdays they said no.. :( but when I added it was my date's birthday they gave 2 ice creams.. So, I changed the service from 3 to 4 stars for that! Thanks to the...

The price is decent for the portion provided. Staffs are and attentive to our requests

We had - 🥩 Prime Sirlion Requested it to be medium-rare. The steak had nicely seared edges and a juicy centre, cooked to perfection, quite tender for a sirloin cut of steak😍 The steak comes with two selection of side dishes, we choose Mac and Cheese & house salad. Overall generously given portion, for its price, will definitely come back again for this soon 🤭

🐔 All day special Comes with grilled chicken (we choose fiery chicken 👍👍👍), chicken sausage, scrambled egg and 2 sides (we choose onion rings & garden veggies) . Fiery chicken was so good surprisingly. Skin was crispy, chicken was cooked till tender and juicy perfection, well seasoned, slightly spicy and salty. Not forgetting a decent portion of onion rings, veggies, sausages and scrambled egg as well!

🐟 Crispy fried fish Lightly fully covered fillets, a good thickness of fish. The fish was flakey, moist and super filling. For sides, we choose baked potato & tasty rice. Baked potato was super tender and buttery 👍
