i-Dragon Peking Duck: A Duck to Remember at One Utama
If you're in the mood for an authentic, crispy-skinned, and downright mouthwatering Peking Duck, look no further than i-Dragon at One Utama shopping mall. This spot is quickly becoming a favorite for those in search of an elevated dining experience that combines tradition with a modern twist.
The Peking Duck here is a masterclass in preparation. The duck arrives at your table with golden, paper-thin skin that crackles delightfully with every bite. The fat beneath is rendered perfectly, resulting in a juicy, tender interior that’s both rich and satisfying without being overly greasy. It's a balance that’s hard to perfect, but i-Dragon nails it.
What sets i-Dragon apart from other restaurants serving this classic dish is how they present it. The duck is carved expertly right at your table, giving a little extra flair to the experience. The thin slices are served with all the trimmings – delicate pancakes, hoisin sauce, and fresh cucumber and scallions, allowing you to assemble each bite just how you like it.
But it’s not just about the duck. The sides and accompanying dishes are also top-notch. The stir-fried vegetables are crisp and flavorful, and the egg fried rice is a comforting complement to the rich flavors of the duck. The portions are generous, making it a meal worth sharing.
Service is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor strikes a nice balance between traditional and contemporary, making it feel both upscale and approachable.
As for the price? It's certainly on the higher end for a mall dining experience, but the quality and attention to detail make it worth every ringgit. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or on a special date, i-Dragon's Peking Duck is an experience you won’t...
Read moreFirst time visiting, one of the longest standing Chinese restaurant in 1 Utama, this Dragon I is so popular you can't even book a seat, walk ins.
We used to come here once in a while but stopped due to the crowd. However, we were lucky to find time and visit during the weekdays and I must say, not only the prices are more reasonable than before but the renovated restaurant looks classy and high class.
As we ordered the weekday pax set, we ordered the typical Chinese dishes from fish, brinjal and spinach soup, the set also gives a complimentary half chicken with wonton soup which I would say it is quite worth it (RM158++ for 4 pax), (RM228++ for 6 pax).
The food was fantastic 😍, I didn't expect this as the taste is even better than those super luxurious Chinese restaurants in the malls. Everything was so well cooked/boiled that it's soft and tender from the fish(crispy on the outside, soft on the inside), bringal(soft and full of flavour), spinach soup(best spinach soup I have ever tasted 😋) and chicken so tender it comes off the bone.
Everything is well seasoned and the flavours are completely balanced which is crazy to me, it's not too salty, sour or sweet, just perfect for our taste buds.
The service staff especially the Captain Jia Hao was super attentive with us as we took quite some time deciding on our order. His recommendations are top notch and we were highly satisfied with our time dining here. Our teas are always refilled and the staff are always warm and patient with us, amazing service! The atmosphere is also elegant, comfortable and lovely.
Overall, a fantastic Chinese restaurant and it would be my go to Chinese restaurant whenever I'm in 1 Utama in the future.

Read moreMy husband and I had a very pleasant dinner at this restaurant yesterday evening. We were promptly shown to a table despite no prior reservation. Our order of Siau Loong Paos, Pan seared Sui Cheng Pao and crispy fried Whitebait was placed before us in a relative wink of an eye. The Siau Loong Paos oozed rich hot broth and the meat filling was softly textured, neither hard nor pappy. The pao skin was thin n smooth, much like a silken veil over the filling. The Pan seared Sui Cheng Pao nestled over a light nest of onion ribbons in a hot stone casserole. This sustained the warmth of the pao as if it was just that moment lifted off the searing pan. The pao had a fairy light texture which gave its richly umami meat filling a complimentary contrast. And as for the fried Whitebait, they were superb. Lightly dusted with salt, pepper, garlic bits n finely chopped spring onions they were very easy on the palate. They would have been a fitting accompaniment to a glass of wine or even a beer. Quite the best fried Whitebait we've tasted in a while. Our last order was a bowl of non spicy braised beef with lah mian. The braised meat n tendons were tender and gently redolent of the spices in the braising broth. Our meal was most satisfying on our palate but the crowning touch to our dining experience was the close and courteous attention of waiter who served us. He was a soft-spoken Nepalese gentleman named Nolit. When the craving for Siau Loong Paos takes us to this restaurant again, we will hv our usual favourites and the Peking Duck that looked...
