This place is truly underrated. One of the best perks is the complimentary water and the freedom to bring your own food. Their cocktail menu is intriguing, though personal preferences do play a role. I indulged in three mezcal sours that were absolutely marvelous, while my friends explored some in-menu curiosities.
It’s important to know what you want and to communicate it clearly, as some drinks can veer too sweet or fall short of expectations. For instance, the “Gouda to be True” is a clever menu item, but we felt it could have benefited from a more refined execution—perhaps presented as an emulsified cheese foam to add a rich, velvety texture that better marries the flavors, rather than just grated Gouda, which ended up too sweet and unbalanced.
On the other hand, the oriental gimlet with curry leaves was nearly perfect, though it lacked a bit of lift. A slight torching of the leaves might have elevated its flavors, adding a mysterious and savory depth.
Despite a few missteps, I’d definitely return, especially since they’ve perfected my mezcal sours. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the vibe is a relaxed mix of industrial chic and casual comfort—a great setting for catching up...
Read moreI visited on a quiet Monday night, having made a reservation via WhatsApp. Although I wasn't greeted right away, the service improved when I requested a different table, and the staff promptly assisted. I enjoyed the drinks, and while my friend was ordering, we were curious about the scented wine. I asked the staff member for an explanation, and he responded condescendingly, asking, "What don't you understand about the menu?" My friends and I were taken aback, but I clarified that I knew the types of wine and just wanted to know if the scented wine was similar to sangria. He then explained that it was indeed somewhat like sangria. I was disappointed by the rude response, especially since I was just seeking clarification on something unclear on the menu. Although the drinks were good and I had heard positive reviews about the place, this experience makes me...
Read moreParking is tough in this area due to the many restaurants. Reservations are highly encouraged to ensure you get a place.
Love the concept of combining an alcoholic bar with a non-alcoholic bar. This serves well for different preferences. It is also a very chill and casual place, nice to unwind with friends. They don’t serve any food but you can order delivery via Grab, orders from the restaurants nearby or even buy snacks from the MyNews downstairs, which I think is pretty awesome as you can have whatever you want and not limited to a menu.
The cocktails are pretty lightweight. If you want something heavier, you can order a customized drink with extra strong liquor. The best I had was made by one of the founders, Tracia, who is super friendly and super nice to chat with. The prices might be a bit high for some of the cocktails but they...
