Honestly, when I saw the place it was not promising. The place looks outdated with very dull colour and few seating available. The decorations feels like you're walking into an antique middle Eastern tavern with some dune and camel drawings. Garnished with some typical clay and copper utensils.
But since my friend recommended it and he usually take out, i guess dining in wasn't their strongest suit.
Ordered a lamb mandy and a chicken kabsah. Some fattah humus and the brinjal(forgot the atabic name).
Food arrived very fast. Like 5-10 minutes. And it was jaw dropping. For their lack of restaurant blings, they make it up with their food.
The mandy rice had this light smoky flavour to it, the hummus was made like it has pasta in it. So the very mild bitter after taste goes almost unnoticeable. Lamb was dripping with juice when we removed the aluminium foil. Tenderized through slow cooking perhaps. The portion was bog as usual for 'nasi arab'.
The star of the dish will be the khabsah. If you love heavy spicing on your rice, this will be your take. It was so rich that most people won't prefer it. But for the adventures lad, go ahead and bombard your palate with spices. Chicken was cooked to perfection and tenderness is awesome.
Overall, the food was good. The price is a bit on the high side. Will come for take...

If there's only one thing that I could compliment is their staff (an old lady with glasses) that are very thoughtful. She offered me a glass of water cuz I'm not ordering any beverages. Owner should praise her work. If not because of her, your restaurant would get 1...
Read moreThe food is very delicious, even though it's on the high side (RM20-30 per pax). I had the lamb madghut and it was tasty and heavily spiced, while my husband had the lamb mandy. He said it's stronger-flavoured than any mandy dishes he's tried, but still tasty. For both dishes, the lamb was fall-of-the-bone tender. Both dishes were accompanied by soup and some (I think) Salata Hara (spicy Arabic tomato dip). The rice portion is quite large, so any big-eater will be pleased. I'd recommend ordering 2 rice dishes to share with 3 people, and add on an extra meat, as the meat is correctly portioned.
I can't share my thoughts about the interior because I tapau/packed my food.
I would not feel bad at all about recommending this place to anyone who is craving for Arabic food in the area. Will...
