Note: Not sure if it was due to their popularity, the service which was excellent during my previous visits were lacking this time. Even the lamb rack was less than satisfactory this time.. wrongly done. I revised my rating
After my several visits to Terrase - once with the home minister, second time with my makan gang and lastly with my kids ... I had a favourite place for duck confit. So when I had to come up with a suggestion on where to eat among us, I quickly suggested Terrasse because they had never been here yet.
◾Tour Dr France menu is probably the best option to go if you want to go full bloom.. aperitif, main course and lastly choice of dessert. Price varies depending on the main course that you choose. ◾Smoked Salmon Salsa - an appetising aperitif to whet the appetite. ◾herb crusted lamb rack - this time I was disappointed as the lamb rack was served medium rare and not medium as ordered. ◾chocolate dessert - sweet ending!
◾Terrace Signature Duck Confit - still maintain the standard which was a saving grace for the dinner. Meat was still fall-off-the-bone and paired well with my wine. Ordered 2 portions to be shared among 4 of us. ◾Smoked Duck Aglio Olio - love the presentation of the dish with the flavourful smoked duck ◾Nachos with sour cream and tomato salsa - one of our starters while waiting for the main dishes. Addictive stuff.. ◾Chicken Nugget - we were still having our wine when we finished all dishes. Initially I wanted to go for their awesome chicken skin but they had run out, so we had to settle for chicken nugget. Reasonably tender and juicy.
Overall it was still a satisfying dinner and most importantly we got to gather for some good food and wines. Quite popular for cocktails as I noticed during the few times I was here.
If there is one thing that can be improved further, it would be their customer service. There were many times when we had to get...

The menu feels like someone’s passion project: unagi rice, duck confit, mapo tofu lasagne. Garlic prawns arrive fresh, seared just right. The duck confit is flavourful, the lamb rack well-prepared. Not everything hits the mark though, some might find the salted egg pasta too sweet, and the pork chop can be dry on certain days. The truffle fries feel like something from the frozen aisle.
Cocktails are where this place truly shines. Inventive combinations like smoked cinnamon lattes and coffee-spiked concoctions, clearly crafted for Instagram as much as for taste.
Service can be inconsistent. One moment the staff are warm and intuitive — the kind who know their Pinot from their Shiraz. The next, you’re 25 minutes into a wait no one warned you about, wondering if anything is ever leaving the kitchen. Pricing leans toward the ambitious. Not quite fine dining, but close. You only feel short-changed if you order poorly. Still, it’s worth visiting for the cocktails alone — ideally with good company and nowhere else to be.
On a good night, it’s a charming place that makes you linger longer than planned. On a bad one, you’re just another table waiting too long. Either way, Terrasse Café & Bistro is a place that lingers in your memory. Not perfect. Not polished. But there’s heart in there somewhere. It’s just hiding under...
Read moreI've just visited this restaurant over the weekend to eat lunch after reading it at someone's blog. Overall, the ambience is good as the design is unique. We sat at the middle of the restaurant on a mid Sunday afternoon, so it's little hot but it is okay (no complain). We ordered two glasses of "Smoked Cinnamon Latte" which is very nice and I would recommend it. As for food, the signature duck confit is alright (we had better ones but no complain for RM45) but the big disappointment was the pork chop. The pork chop was thick (try imagine 1.5'' thickness), hard meat (difficult to cut and to chew), extremely dry plate and definitely not enough seasoning. We gave the feedback to one of the staff but we were given a short lecture on the "technique & method of how the chef cooks the pork chop". I mean common, we are diners, we give sincere feedback so that we can come back again to try another time. I am tempted to give 2 stars. But I give due credit to the latte and the ambience. So, instead 3 stars are given here. I might come back in future to try the "buttered fried chicken" as recommended by the blogger. At least another "GO" before we decide the future. But please, to owners of this restaurants (chefs/cooks/servers), please come down from the HIGH IVORY TOWER attitude and listen to your customers' feedback. As much as we as customers want to support local restaurant now in the time of Covid, do stay humble, relevant and listen with open mind and heart to your customers - not brushing them away...
