Meisan Restaurant — Restaurant in Sarawak

1. Poor communication by the mei san’s management. Uneasy to approach upon enquiring about the restaurant for organising event.

2. Unfriendly girl staff.

3. Poor wedding cake presentation. Dusty and not presentable. Although they made changes to the cake but the cake later was not as per our expectation.

4. Asked the staff to temporarily remove the ‘CNY decoration’(no rasicm) (we willing to reattach the CNY decoration on our own later after the event) and they simply replied by saying its was against the house rule. Which house rule are you talking about? Those arrangement wasn’t part of our agreement and not shown in the invoice etc. *Previously there was no CNY deco.

If you book early, you can book a private dining room for a large group.

Food is great, my favorites are the butter prawn ball, the fish lip soup and the kung pow beef.

An old favourite is the crispy pancake but they changed it from red bean to pandan which did not suit my tastebuds.

The crispy roasted chicken is underwhelming and the oyster pancake is more oily than what I would like.

I would recommend against ordering the fried rice and noodles, just take white rice instead. Goes better with the other dishes.

Overall, food is pricey but it does have a high standard. Giving it 5 stars anyway because of the overall place,...
