The Worst Lunch Experience I Ever Had

We ordered a 10-person set meal worth RM1,688. The waiters mistakenly sent food meant for another table to us. Never mind that—we eventually got our actual set meal, but by then we were already full and requested for it to be packed for takeaway.

However, during that time, they again sent us the food meant for the table beside us.

When we got home, we realized that some of our food was missing from the takeaway—specifically the pork ribs, dessert, and prawn salad. We hadn’t even touched the pork ribs at the restaurant, and had clearly asked for them to be packed, but they didn’t give them to us in the end.

On top of that, the fish was not even properly steamed—we had to re-steam it again at home just to be able to eat it.

The service was truly lousy and need more improvement. Dine at this restaurant at your own risk—especially when it comes to food serving accuracy and...

This is the worst place to dine at Genting Highlands due to the following reasons:

  1. World Class lousy service - nobody attend to customers and customers waited at least 30 mins to be attended and give a queue number.

  2. There are empty tables around but customers are not seated.

  3. Staffs are slow in service and are caught chit chatting instead of mending the front of the restaurant.

  4. The price is definitely on a high side with lesser variety of food (unlike the past, it has more food options).

Will never go back to this place ever again, given that it had won a trophy 🏆 - - Genting f&b top lousiest service

So, is ok to give this restaurant a miss. People who are dim sum lovers, can try out Grand imperial London Duck restaurant (located in the indoor theme park area) instead. Their service is awesome and that is what matters most in the...

After travel between Singapore and Malaysia opened their corridor, we visited Genting. 1st fnb restaurant we would like our brunch was tim sum and wok hei cooked food. Restaurant was renovated, staffs were professional as compared to past. Food were served at its best, but but but, when we asked for sambal chilli we were told was 12RM extra. Top tier restaurant charging for sambal chilli? SPEECHLESS, back of my mind, whoever run this restaurant clearly do not know how to manage their PnL.

Ordered a takeaway,

Came my takeaway. Then I need to request a spoon which wasn't given together with takeaway. Asked for a carrier for takeaway which wasn't given with takeaway So ask again for spoon, finally came

In the end, got to carry...

Came in the evening and it was pretty hard to get a table during the CNY period. Food came out pretty quick and there were a few dishes that were very much worth mentioning. The Longevity Noodles were a very simple but delicious carb based dish very much worth trying. The beansprouts were not soggy and very crisp in the hot starch gravy. I rate: 5/5 🌟 The black pepper pork belly was pretty okay. Quite tender and flavours were not too over powering. Fattiness was a decent amount too. I rate: 4/5 🌟 Stir fried ice berg lettuce was a tad bit oily, but gravy was savory and goes well with rice. I rate: 3/5 🌟 Fried rice was generous with seafood cubes such as prawns and scallops. Really enjoyed it as well for a sharing carb dish. I rate: 4/5 🌟

The food was decent, but the behavior of the older female staff was utterly inexcusable. We were waiting for our turn—our number was 03. She called 02 repeatedly, and when there was no response, she then called 03. As soon as we stepped forward, she immediately snapped at us, wrongly assuming we were 02 and accusing us of ignoring her calls. We calmly explained that we had responded instantly, having waited right in front for over half an hour. Only after the younger staff intervened did she grudgingly realize her mistake. Not only was there no apology, but she continued speaking to us as if we owed her money. Such arrogance and rudeness are completely unforgivable.

Serves Dim Sum in the morning/afternoon and dishes at night. Atmosphere: 4.5 🌟 Very good location where you can have a good view of Genting Highlands (especially Sunset) if you had the side tables. Unable to remember all but below are some of the Dim Sums. Food: Egg Tart 3.5 🌟 Food: Lo Mai Kai 3.5 🌟 Food: Fried Shrimp Wan Tan 3.75 🌟 Food: Fried Fishballs 3.25 🌟 Food: Lobak Gou (Deep Fried Radish Cake) 3.25 🌟 Food: Wu Kok (Yam) 3.5 🌟 Food: Chee Cheong Fun 3.25 🌟 Food: Siew Mai 3.25 🌟 Food: Pork Ribs 3.25 🌟 Food: Beancurd Roll 3.75 🌟 Very pricey, overall we spent Rm 140+ per person.
