Family lunch in Kiat Seng on this Sunday, we tucked into Sambal Stir Fried Eggplant, Long Beans, Tofu and Stink Beans (Petai), Garlic Stir Fried Lotus Root, Carrot, Beans and Corn, Lala/Clam Soup with Kei Chi/Wolfberries, Kam Heong Chicken, Batter Fried Squid/Sotong, Clay Pot Fish Head Curry and Sweet Sour Crab.
Crispy crunchy sotong was the favourite for the kids, everyone happily tucked into the stir fried dishes, lala soup was a little overwhelming with Chinese wine but mum and I loved it. Read moreFor a table of 2, we ordered steamed fish (上汤蒸非洲), belacan stir fried mixed vegetables (四大天王), creamy butter fried squid (牛油炸鲜鱿), and minced meat tofu n vege (菜香豆腐). Seriously, there’s nothing to complain about besides not having more mouths to help finish their yummy food. Price wasn’t over the roof too given every dish’s quality, e.g. steamed just right, fresh veges used… definitely recommend this place for a family dinner.
