Sweet Forest Cafe — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

Food is good, price is fair. I've experience good services the first few times I gone there, yet as time went by, their services are utterly poor. I waited half an hour for some waiter to clean the table, I've asked, called, and waited several times and waited patiently for very long. Yet no waiter responded/the waiter said ok, yet didn't come after. After they cleaned the table, no waiter came to give us the menu. Eventually, I just gave up and went to take the menu myself. No one took the order slip from my table, either. All waiter seems busy, didn't have time to do any other things other than serving food and stuff. I mean like, if they have too many tasks to handle at once, why not hire more waiters? At least there would be better services while making profit. Most of the times I went there, I'd need to do everything myself, except cleaning the table and clearing the dishes, of course. Every single time, I'll need to spend like one hour there just to order and wait for my food, and some of the time, they'll mix up my order with something else. Today that I've gone there, they've mixed up my food twice. For the hecking third time they got it, but there's plastic in my food. :)

Now maybe some of you might say that I'm one of the Karens out there, and telling me to stop whining like a baby because I've got bad services, not all restaurants have perfect services and stuff. But please do explain how that their food can only be served after at least half an hour every time I've been there? The timing seems to make no sense to me. I'm trying to tolerate, but tolerance have some limits, y'know? I would keep silent if it happens for SOME times, yet these stuff happens like, literally every time. I believe that I'm not the only one going through these stuffs, too.

Now, if you do read until here, well, I won't tell you to stop going there, that'll be too extreme. I'm saying, like, If you're not there to have some family gathering or any gathering, or anything that you and others can have conversations for a long long long long time Please do consider of going somewhere else, especially if you're in a rush/just want a meal. Food (4-star for the food) Food is good, portion just nice, please don’t reduce the portion anymore. Portion has reduced so please don’t reduce further.

Service and attitude (0-star) Bad. Waiters, cashiers, supervisor and even manager all expect customers to walk to them to order. Waved our hands for like 10mins and no one saw! Some saw but ignore!

Cashier service and attitude (0-star) Bad. For a restaurent that charges SST means they have volume, yet everytime when change is given, they always do not give the 5sen change. You must give the 5sen change and let customer decide to give it to you or not. Always bad attitude and sour face.

Outlet manager (0-star) My wife and 2 small kids found a table during peak hour. Manager ask them to go look for another table because the table she found could sit 6 while it was only 4 of us. He told my wife to look for another table instead of him looking for us!! I was looking for parking then and miss that bad attitude of a manager. Terrible mentality and not customer friendly. But I did notice he gives damn good service to tables with 8 pax or more. Money face and he think those big tables only deserves...

The foods taste just normal.

My friend and I order 4 dishes, smoked duck spegatti with sesame sauce, curry fishball, Marmite Mantis prawn rice, fried abalone mushroom.

For my own opinion, I think the curry fishball and deep fried abalone mushroom is nice. The taste of curry is nice and creamy, and the fishball is soft but bouncy, the curry smell all absorb into the fish ball, I think the curry fish ball will get 4 star.

The deep fried abalone mushroom not oily and it is chrunchy outside and inside is soft juicy mushroom. Well, the mushroom they use is considered fresh, therefore it will make you wanna have another piece. And this I will rate as 4 star also.

The smoked duck spegatti with sesame sauce is disappointing because it is just like Kewpie sesame salad dressing mix with the spegatti and put few pieces of smoked duck on top, the spaghetti not even have the smoked duck fragrance.

The Marmite Mantis prawn taste is nice but the mantis prawn taste like chicken or pork, because it is so dry. So the meat itself you can feel it is a mantis prawn. And the sauce is slightly sweet.
