Came with wife for breakfast. Ordered their signature Kavarna breakfast and Eggs Benedict, milk coffee and their signature Iced Milo. According to the staff, Kavarna breakfast is the most popular item from the breakfast selection. However for 89.62, I personally felt it was overrated for two thick pieces of bread, an alright jam that looks like thick barbecue sauce, uncooked baked beans, and 2 pieces of normal thin sausage that ones gets when Continental breakfast is ordered from a normal cafe for MVR 35. At best, for this quality of what we were served, I believe they should charge MVR 75 or up their game with better and more offerings to match the price. Eggs Benedict was not that impressive as well. The buns that came with eggs was charred than normal. For the price of MVR 113.21, one would get a much better Eggs Benedict from a popular cafe near Velanaage and that is with free coffee. Coffee was the normal Lavazza coffee that one would get elsewhere, however it is served in a very nice cup that matches the decor. Love how the sugar cubes is presented along with the coffee. The only good thing for me from today’s breakfast was the Iced Milo, I had it before previously when I came for dinner with friends and they maintained the taste of it. For me, the Iced Milo is very value for money for the quality one gets. Overall the service was very good. The staff were very service oriented and intuitive. They really do a good job in recommending and ensuring that you have a pleasant dining experience. If not for the staff, the review would be...
Read moreWe, The girls room were looking for a place that has the perfect ambience, food, and service for our first ever game night. I was informed by one of the team members that the Ast Cafe was a great place to host; therefore, by contacting the wonderful manager Michelle, she assured us that everything would be done promptly and wonderfully. She was super active, giving us a set menu, which was one of the highlights of the event. Chef Shuvo's deviled eggs, waffles, coconut macrons, and sandwiches were great for the occasion. We were served with the most refreshing ice lemon tea that filled the quenching thirst of the participants. Everything went smoothly, and they made sure the food was great, ready, and prepared for their guests while we played the games. The sound system worked well for the event, and the team members, Anees and Dulshan, worked hard to make sure the refreshments were on time and helped to set the tables and clean after the event, which was very helpful for our small team. Overall, the success of this event was very impressive and positive, and we would like to thank the AST cafe team for their great service and food. This is the perfect place to have a wonderful event, and we can’t wait to host...
Read moreSuper cute place! Varah chaalu mithaa :) gives me rustic souq vibes with a slight Arabian influence feel. Lovely interior design and cosy aesthetic with ample space to hang with friends - they have two floors with downstairs having AC and upstairs open air with fans. Would be a romantic spot for two or even just a nice place to hang out and read in the window space. I come here every Male’ trip for breakfast or lunch! They’re even open on Friday mornings :) Iced coffee and cream espresso are some of the best coffees I’ve had in Malé/Hulhu’ and I’m an iced coffee fiend (very picky usually) it was rich and strong but creamy too - 10/10. I’m vegetarian and they have some options; would highly recommend the avocado toast but my mates chicken focaccia sandwich looked epic too! Prices are a bit expensive but you pay for the experience, vibe and service too and I can vouch the staff there are really nice. ‘Ano’ was so welcoming...
