Truly the best boba tea in Male'. There are so many options to choose from you'll have a hard time deciding because they're all yummy. I have tried their brown sugar boba tea, taiwanese boba tea, and honeydew fruit tea. I loved them all. This Hulhumale' shop is only good for take-aways as there are very few seating available. The one in Male's is more spacious so it'll be better to hang out there.
P.S. The cats outside the shop are so cute.
(Please don't mind the lyrics below. 😂)
Moving forwards, using all my breath Making love to you was never second best I saw the world thrashing all around your face Never really knowing it was always mesh and lace I'll stop the world and melt with you You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time There's nothing you and I won't do I'll stop the world and melt with you Dream of better lives the kind which never hate (You should see why) Trapped in the state of imaginary grace (You should know better) I made a pilgrimage to save this humans race (You should see why) Never comprehending the race had long gone by I'll stop the world and melt with you (Let's stop the world) You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time (Let's stop the world) There's nothing you and I won't do (Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and melt with you The future's open wide I'll stop the world and melt with you (Let's stop the world) I've seen some changes but it's getting better all the time (Let's stop the world) There's nothing you and I won't do (Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and melt with you The future's open wide Hmmm hmmm hmmm Hmmm hmmm hmmm hmmm Hmmm hmmm hmmm Hmmm hmmm hmmm hmmm I'll stop the world and melt with you (Let's stop the world) You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time (Let's stop the world) There's nothing you and I won't do (Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and melt with you (Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and melt with you (Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and melt with you (Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Ocean Kitchen this morning for breakfast, hoping for a pleasant start to our day. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling disappointed and, frankly, disrespected.
As part of the breakfast, we were served a sausage with the skin still on. To our surprise, the casing was made of an inedible plastic-like material — not the natural, edible type you'd expect in a quality breakfast. We removed the casing ourselves and continued eating. Out of curiosity and concern, I politely asked the waitress whether they normally remove the skin. She explained that they don't usually do so and offered to let the chef know, which I appreciated. What happened next, however, was completely unprofessional. Although I said it was fine and that we had already handled it, the waitress went to the kitchen. Moments later, my wife noticed the chef came out, look over at us, and start laughing - joined by the waitress. I hadn't seen this at the time, but my wife told me after we left, and she was genuinely embarrassed by the whole situation.
It's one thing to make a small oversight in food preparation — that happens. But it's another thing entirely to treat paying guests with mockery instead of basic respect. We came in with good intentions and left feeling disappointed and unwelcome.
Ocean Kitchen may have potential, but hospitality is just as important as what’s on the plate. I sincerely hope they take this feedback to heart and work on improving their professionalism and...
Read moreMy family and I came in hoping to enjoy dessert and drinks. From the start, the staff felt unwelcoming—the first thing we were asked was whether we were doing takeaway or dine-in, with a tone that didn’t feel accommodating. When we ordered, the woman taking it seemed disinterested or even slightly rude.
We asked to sit in the lounge-style area, and after a while, someone came to tell us, “This is takeout, right?”—because the area was apparently reserved which no one at least offered an alternative place to sit, even though my husband was still eating.
If dine-in wasn’t an option at the time, or if seating was limited to reservations, it would’ve helped to be informed clearly upfront.
That said, the drinks and desserts we ordered were great—they just need to improve on the service side to match the quality of...
