Coconut Tree Hulhuvilla Beach — Hotel in Malé

WORST HOTEL EVER I STAYED ! Me and my family stayed for one night and had to get COVID test done as we were flying internationally after that. The hotel staff advised us to get our COVID test done in the hotel we thought the staff is very helpful BUT they are scammers they brought all those reports positive(as they did in their own lab) after that I insisted them that I want tests to be redone and I want to redo the tests they didn’t let us do that and forced us to book hotel for another 7days but we forcefully went to another lab and we did our rapid tests and those came negative.SURPRISE! Then hotel staff was not agreeing to accept those negative reports and were forcing us to stay at the hotel for another week for quarantine. But we left the hotel with those negative reports from outside Lab and then they said they will inform the ministry and will tell the police to arrest us.we ignored because our reports were genuine. From certified lab and then we left and we got no problem on the way and then we had another test done when landed at our destination that also came negative that means the hotel staff was scam and was just after us for money.Please don’t go to this hotel there’s NO LIFT, NO WIFI WORKING , NO ROOM SERVICE, and it’s close to beach but you will find almost all the hotels in Maldives near the beach so better chose other option. And we also Found out that their hotel was already filled with so many COVID positive people to whip they forced to quarantine . PLEASE DONT...

I was disappointed to have arrived yesterday late evening with my family and not have any representative from this hotel meet us. In all of the correspondence email's before it had been stated that this had been arranged with the hotel and since we had young children, they would prioritise. At the airport information desk we were given the hotel number and gave them a ring. We were told by the hotel that they knew nothing about an airport pick up, that they couldn't arrange a pick up and that we should find a taxi. When I said that this wasn't the warm Maldivian welcome we were promised, the hotel representative nervously laughed and said that there was nothing he could do. We found the taxi rank and waited for nearly 45 mins for a taxi. This is with two small children at around midnight. The hotel itself is modern and the rooms are fairly well kept, although has a backpackers feel to it. Lots of steps to manoeuvre with your suitcases and breakfast to be eaten in your room - without suitable furniture to accommodate this. Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended!||The room had everything we needed — very comfortable and spotlessly clean. After a long flight, the hot shower was incredibly refreshing.||The best part of our stay was the people. All the staff and the receptionist were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Shimul, who is a genuinely good person with a wonderfully kind and respectful attitude.||Another highlight was the location — the beach was just a short walk from the hotel, and the sea view was truly relaxing and refreshing.
