Zen Sushi to Go - Ta' Xbiex — Restaurant in Gżira

Covid regulations being followed to the letter and very sanitary to begin with. Staff very polite. I went in with a craving for sushi at lunch time and just wanted to buy a package and leave. i chose one of their set box menus and it was actually made fresh (I could see the chef making it), which was actually really nice and i didnt mind the wait time at all as it was well worth it. The sushi was extremely fresh and delicious and although I enjoyed it back at my desk at work, I was given soy sauce and a little plastic recyclable tray in my take-away bag, so I was missing nothing. I also appreciated the paper box paclaging reducing plastic waste. If I had more time I would have sat there to enjoy my meal at the restaurant as there are one seater spaces and the place is quite lovely, even during the busy week. What can I say... I'll...

So despite we love zen sushi but today we tried their "own" delivery instead of Wolt (spoiler alert: don't do that). They do sell sushi on Wolt more expensive but here you'll have to pay for delivery 5 eur. In any case the delivery time was supposed to be 1+ hour from Taxbiex to Pieta. We waited and nobody called. We called back and they couldn't give us the courier number. So we went outside. The courier was waiting for half an hour already. He had the wrong number as they typed one digit wrong. And he was a Wolt courier. And this is why this branch gets 1 star...

A place to go absolutely ! If you love sushi and original ones too don’t miss that place : quick service, you will be very well received at anytime by the staff that is incredible ! The place is very clean, the food is amazing and done in a short time ! A unique concept ! There are several ZENSUSHI on the island ! So you can find anywhere you are ! COOL AMBIANCE !
