The place itself looked nice, the staff was kind and we were seated fastly. When it comes to food- I’d say it’s average. We waited for quite some time and we received a type of sandwich you can easily make at home, nothing special. The bread didn’t really taste like the traditional bread from Malta, and it was all cold (i know they dont have to make it warm but still, because of that the bread tasted rather old). I didn’t feel like the ingredients and bread itself were fresh enough. I wouldn’t go there again because i know that for this type of dish there are better and more local places ;) Overall not bad but it’s more like a typical touristic local rather than a typical place that locals would choose.
EDIT: replying to the comment, yes, i did order ftira, sorry for not using the original name of the dish :) i still believe that maybe warmer it would...

What truly ruined the visit, however, was the service. The waiter, who spoke with a strong accent that was hard to understand, was rude and inattentive. Most concerning was the lack of personal hygiene. Each time he raised his arm, there was a very strong and unpleasant smell of sweat. It was extremely off putting. If the staff can’t maintain basic hygiene, I dread to think what the cleanliness standards are like in the kitchen. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place. There are many better dining options in Malta that take both service and...
Read moreFairly priced considering its location. Very welcoming host who let us in 20 minutes before opening time. As we were only diners there, so perhaps ambience not typical and background music a touch intrusive when no background buzz of conversation. Historic building next to chapel and waiter explained some of the history. Elegantly presented and delectable "Chapel" cocktail, excellent Gozo craft pale ale that complemented my well cooked rabbit. Prawn spaghetti very tasty. Only slight minus was sour tasting "seasonal vegetables," but this was politely replaced with a side salad. Linked to a more casual bar/cafe a few doors down where the waiter fetched me a local digestif, a carob liqueur which was...
