Wasabi Sushi Express — Restaurant in Sliema

Went in and was very pleased with the overall experience! We walked in and although the place was empty the workers were very quick to offer us friendly service. I had a hard time seeing the menu simply because I just have terrible vision and the worker was very patient while I figured out exactly what we wanted to order. We dined in and the restaurant itself was very clean and cozy, very comfortable for a peaceful night out. The food was very delicious and not too expensive for the amount of food we ordered. We even ordered some sushi rolls to go! Very fresh and great portion sizes. By the end we were full and ready to take a nice stroll outside. Specifically referring to Sliema: Ordered online through another app at 8 30pm and was told that food will arrive at 10pm when the order was confirmed. At 10 we called and we were told that the order was cancelled. The least thing to do is to MAKE SURE you notify your clients if orders are cancelled instead of blaming this and that just because the restaurant was busy. Waited 1hr30mins to still sleep hungry. Never again......

I think what we ordered is definitely not their specialty… had a beef ramen and taste is mediocre. Son ordered tonkatsu chicken and it’s definitely not what we expected to have.. sauce is too thick and salty and chicken is not battered fried as we expected for a tonkatsu to be.

Can’t recommend this place … will have to find a different ramen place in Malta if you’re in the hunt for...
