Was lucky to celebrate my birthday at this eatery with a terrace over Marsamxetto Harbour with a beautiful view of Valletta. The evening breeze in the middle of a hot week was also a nice bonus, to go with the fine service and pleasant experience. Started off with some Aperol Spritz, and decided to share the fried goat’s cheese, tuna tartare and neonati fish cakes - great choices for all concerned. For mains we had the Spigola al Sale, the ravioli with lobster and prawns, plus the Fritto Misto - all highly recommended. Having overeaten, we could only afford one sweet between us …& sweet it was - a fine ending with Creme Brûlée. Memorable evening and not over the top when it comes to cost.

I rarely give 1* reviews, however we really did not feel welcome here. When we entered we were given a table, then were asked to leave that spot, because we were no member of ' the club '. Then we went to the table and given a menu, it took about 20 minutes for the staff to come back, while doing absolutely nothing at the bar. Then they came to get the order and gave us the Cisk pint rather quickly. However the food took forever to come, I'm sure it was about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The food [ English Breakfast full ] was supposed to come with an orange juice, which was not given to us, only after mentioning it twice. The food was good tho. Then later a friend joined, waved multiple times at the staff, they acknowledged it, but did not come. Then when paying I went in to do the payment and the employee charged me an amount, I asked what the charges were, she said ' no idea, just put an amount '. Very weird it was.. The place and location has high potential, however they are not living up to the potential, AT ALL.

We started with cocktails and ordered the grilled brie as a starter which was good. Then I had the breaded chicken and parma; it was ok, pitty it was salty. The portion of potatoes and carrots (on the menu it said it comes with vegetables) was small. We also had a fillet with red wine jus. The sauce arrived late and the fillet had gone cold. We made the waiter aware and offered us coffee on the house. As a dessert I had the apple and berry crumble which was good. The service was slow altough the restaurant was not busy (during the week). Pitty as the restaurant has a fantastic view. Edit: Wednesday 7th August 2019 for dinner

The Galley. As the name strongly suggests, this restaurant has a lovely nautical theme to it's decor and setting right over the water's edge and overlooking the beautiful fortifications and imposing harbor views of Tax Xbiex and Valletta across its waters. The service was professional and friendly - chef and restaurant owner was happy to share some useful tips and secret touches to his scrumptous carrot soup! A perfect venue for lunch in the sun oozing a feel good factor all around. Aloha and see you soon!

I always like visiting The Galley! It's most suited for a summers day sat on the terrace but can just be as cosy inside in winter. Their food is always well made and packed full of flavour, extensive drinks menu and happy hour between certain times, the service is well catered for, me and my family have been at least 10 times, if my only comment was it would be, complementary Limoncello!! We have only ever recieved it once after the meal. This should be standard practice.

Came here on a Saturday evening at 6PM and the place was kind of empty, was kind of suspicious to me. Entered the place anyway and found a good looking restaurant with a nice terrace. Staff was friendly and told us they were only serving food as of 6.30PM. Ordered the fish platter and had 3 different kind of fishes, some mussels, clams and shrimps. It was tasty, but rather simple. Even a bit too simple if you would ask me.
