Visited in March '25 and this was a delightful find! If you're coming from the top of the stairs, you can see all the hustle/bustle and it's busy. This was away from the main chaos, nestled nicely. Lively enough that it's great for people watching, quiet enough that you can still have a conversation.

The maître'd/front staff was so friendly and welcoming, she was a delight! We were sat right away and given menus. It was a little scary to be sitting on the steps, but when in Valetta!

We ordered their cheese garlic bread, Rosetta and their ham & cheese on focaccia. The Rosetta was nicely presented, it was alright but it lacked flavour. We were big fans of their breads. They were fresh and soft, they just melted in your mouth! I also had a cappuccino, but was disappointed as it tasted burnt.

Overall, it's pleasantly located and it's in a bit of a wind tunnel and under a shade, so if you're looking for somewhere to eat and away from the sun, this could be the...

Nestled in the heart of Valletta, this gorgeous little hidden restaurant offers an authentic Maltese experience. Tucked away down a charming, stair-lined laneway filled with bars, it feels like a delightful secret waiting to be discovered.

The restaurant boasts a cute terrace perfect for a cozy meal, but don’t miss the much larger upstairs area, which provides ample space and a warm atmosphere. The service is exceptionally friendly and genuine, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

Overall, stumbling upon this hidden gem was a stroke of luck. The combination of traditional Maltese cuisine, a welcoming ambiance, and attentive service makes it a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the true essence...

We had a fantastic experience at 1522 – A Food Story. The pinsa was absolutely outstanding — the dough was perfectly crispy, light, and paired wonderfully with the fresh, high-quality toppings. The lasagna was also delicious — full of rich flavors and perfectly cooked. We had a lovely conversation with the owner, who kindly shared some insights into how they make such incredible dough — you can feel the passion and dedication in every bite. We spent a wonderful evening playing cards with our daughters while enjoying all these delicious dishes. The whole team was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended — and we’ll...
