Fruta de Mar — Restaurant in Bacalar

This place is fishy in that bad way of meaning. Totally overprice ( ~40 bucks for whole Fish, with head ofc). Every dish we ordered, pescadilos and fried bananas were prepared in really smelly old oil. Ofc waiter told us its the way they do it everywhere. Then when we wanted to pay waiter said he have no change and no terminal( in the middle of day in restaurant no change from 500 peso. Yea right. After no conclusion of this situation he finally found terminal what was really weird. We pay for awful pineaple juice and michelada from cheapest been like 170peso. Totally not worth...

DON'T GO. Very bad place. Service is rude. We want ice cream, didn't have, wanted coke, didn't have, wanted other postre didn't have and so on. We end up nachos voor 120 pesos and we get an absolutely mental small tasteless bit of guacamole. you get a full scale much tastier everywhere else for lower price. We cancelled the rest of our order when the waiter said this was normal. Internet also didn't work. Tables were dirty. the view on the lake is nice that's the only good thing about...

Absolutely rubbish experience. Consider over half of the menu ‘not available’. Lame service overall. Waited over 45mins for our food. And to top things off the least inspirational (and frankly pretty horrible) food we’ve had in a long time. Tip was already included on the bill; when we asked for it to be removed we got into a heated argument and credit card payment all of a sudden was ‘not available’ (there’s a theme there). Do yourself a favour and walk past this...
